I rented a car for a relocation to Ireland. Since I was moving, I had a lot of luggage and I thought I had booked a car that was big enough. Turns out it probably wouldn't have been. I arrived at Dublin Airport and the service was great from the moment I got to the shuttle that would take me to the main office. The driver was really nice and helped me will all of my bags, and explained how the service worked. When I got to the office, the employee who helped me, Suat, went above and beyond to actually make sure I had the best experience. He advised me on some insurance which I hadn't bought yet but which would save me a lot of hassle for very little money. Helped me set up the additional driver even if the person wasn't there, and added it for just the amount of time I needed, not the whole rental time. He saw how much luggage I had and actually gave me a free upgrade to a bigger car. He then even helped me out with the bags and explained how the tolls worked and everything else. The car was great, very clean and amazing to drive even if it was my first time on that side of the road. Overall, my experience was superb. I want to thank Suat again for helping me out so much at such a delicate time for me.
I love Hertz / Dollar in Dublin Airport. Very efficient and love the way they make the Dublin Toll payment for you. One thing I don't have to worry about when I'm home for a few days. Also on return you don't feel like they are desperately trying to find a fault with the car, which you may not have noticed when you picked up the car. Other car hire are ruthless - they must be on commission! I highly recommend Hertz / Dollar. I only rent with them.
They gave me a car with summer tires in November! Which is the main reason for 1 star. The check-out process was fast, but they don't understand car insurance coverage from credit cards. Get a proof of insurance in advance from the bank Their cars are very basic and cheap, lacking a backup camera in 2024 and winter mats I also waited for the shuttle for about 20 minutes

Wanted a fast turnaround so picked Hertz as it was based at the terminal but it wasn't, we had to wait 50mins for a shuttle to their off site facility. Then had to wait another hour to check in (after I pre registered online). Car had dents and scratches all over with over 54k on the clock. What has happened to Hertz? My previous rentals have been really good.
All great but queue at check in was slow despite very good staff I've added photos of a few minor scratches, some of which were already noted by yourselves
Unfortunately after picking up the car I received a check car email when my internet worked.The car was filthy had chocolate on the drivers seat.Chewing gum on the floor 2 wheels had kerb marks there was no water for the windscreen so had to fill it up.There was no way this car had been inspected or cleaned very disappointed to say the least. Rang customer services and left waiting to get through for the best part of 10 minutes then sent email for a service call still waiting!!!
