Beware of additional charges that are not explained to you and just appear on your credit card bill and their explanation afterwards "you're a preferred customer so not signature was required from you" I've never used and will never use Avis again, so not sure how I could be a preferred customer EDIT - A further charge has been taken from my card. I have contacted customer services and so far, I have received nothing back. I have contacted my bank to prevent further charges going out
A part the fact that they try to sell you different insurances at the counter, the rest was excellent!

Staff is not moving from their chair to make with you the review of the state of the car at departure. Therefore, no surprise, at return, they find scratches not mentioned on their review. Not fair! No trust possible. Be sure that you take all possible pictures!
I had booked and paid in advance, but due to a delayed flight I could not pick up the vehicle, not even the next day, as the station was not open. When I picked up the car two days later, I didn't get a credit for the two days. I was not responsible for the delay. Especially not the second day. And I also didn't notice all the work I had done before with the QuickPass. The clerk still needed another 15 minutes to re-enter everything. Why ? Why can't you rent out your car like car sharing agencies do. Only via an app, without long waiting times and opening hours.
I usually rent my car via Avis when i fly to La Coruna. Staff is helpful and always on hand to assist. Pickup is usually fast and don't have to queue up. All in all, a good experience do far.
I have rented cars for many years from Avis at La Coruna airport. The staff is always professional, polite and friendly. They go the extra mile to help if a problem occurs. Their service is second to none. Highly recommend it!
I find myself typically providing reviews when i have a bad experience. This time it was different. There was some miscommunication when picking up my car rental. I was sold full coverage insurance as I understood it was just the insurance waiver, damage pre-authorization. The desk attendant actually CORRECTED the contact. This never happens. Normally these car companies just say "sorry, you signed, can't help you", but this lady did step up today. I appreciate the effort she put forth. I hope she has a wonderful month.
