After having a perfectly pleasant experience picking up our car in Madrid, we found that there were a number of issues with the car (broken key fob, sensor broken). Upon our returning of the car at this location, one of the staff members became incensed that we would try to switch it out, because she had the same car. We had no criticism of the make and model, the specific car had issues. This same woman yelled at us multiple times because she "had the same car." If not for the quick thinking and humor of the other employee (whose name I sadly didn't catch) - I'm not sure we would have gotten a newer and safer car. I've never once been yelled at by a representative of any company, let alone when the fault is with the company, and we were simply trying to remedy a situation. The hostility and contempt we were met with was shocking, and she even blocked us from trying to pay to upgrade the car. Have never seen someone turn down business simply to spite someone for no reason. Update : After following all the previous procedures as asked, I was given a rather feckless and offensive response from the Avis customer service. As opposed to addressing the screaming employee, the Avis team stated that I had lied about the issues with our car, going entirely upon the word of the woman who had screamed at us. As opposed to dealing with the issue, they sent the concern to an area manager, who will "look at procedure." Toothless. Then, as if it would somehow allay the offense, they were 'magnanimous' enough to offer EUR10 discount the next time I rent a car with them. Which expires in 11 months. All I wanted was to drive a car that works and not be screamed at when an issue arose. Is that such a tall order in this day and age?

Charged us an extra 35 Eur regarding a tank that was already full. They are stating that was missing 4 Eur, and the 35 was for the fuell We have a photo just before returning the car. We paid all the extras that they offered us, only to avoid any future burdern. Important to say that, the lady on Granada where we took the car, even told to us that would be cheaper to let Avis fill the tank, because their gas was cheaper. Liars. Give our money back. Already sent a similar message on you instagram, Avis.

Easy rental and return. Cars in the car park right outside the office/station entrance. Overnight returns possible with key drop box. I've rented from Avis in Spain, France and Italy and it has been the easiest in Spain. Plus absolutely no up selling.

The service at Avis in Cordoba was nothing short of terrible. The staff were horribly rude. We admitted that we did a mistake with the booking and we needed their help to solve this but all they did was scold us and told us you did not respect the rules of the company. They even did a fake booking to show us that we did something wrong even after we said we know we did something wrong. Guess what though? We were obviously able to patch up things by calling their customer service center in the UK which were extremely helpful and catered to our needs even with a small fee to our journey. In all cases, if you have a trip in the south of Spain, make sure NOT to get a car from Avis in Cordoba given their rude, unprofessional, and outright unfriendly staff :)

First, several amounts are charged to the credit card that do not correspond to the contracted amount, and after 2 hours of delay, the entire amount for the next day is charged (unattractive, but I can accept that), including an additional insurance, which is a rip-off.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I had the Erasmus discount, so i said why not choose AVIS? We paid with another card, not the one of the driver and they said us no, we can't give you the car, the card must be at the name of the driver. There wasn't a warning during our booking and is not mentioned inside the website. As for the lady at the shop...worst service and very rude! The result was to rent from Hertz and pay more money, in order to not lose our total vacation....

The most efficient service that we have experienced in Spain. We returned our car at the designated parking space and brought the key back to the Avis counter. The staff took the key and went to exam the car while we waited by the counter. 5 minutes later, the whole process was done. Highly recommend to rent car here

The truth is that in Avis de Cordoba there are many things that I dont understand... I put a star because you cant put 0, I dont even know where to start but hey Im going to say at least a couple of things... What are the hours in Cordoba? How can it be that they are from 9:00 to 12:45? And I say stay because at 9 in the morning they never open, they always make us wait and there are even queues, then until 12:45, really? If it is when the most trains arrive and on top of that, how can it be that at 12:30 the blinds are already half drawn? Look, for work reasons I travel a lot, but the problems I have in Cordoba, well me and many people I have spoken with and we all agree... and what happened to me recently... how do they have that schedule, then if you arrive late the train or I finish a little later from a meeting or whatever... because of course in the afternoon they also close at 6:45 p.m.... well when I arrived they had already closed and when I show up the next day at 9:00 in the morning They tell me that the car is already They dont have it... I had the car reserved at 5:00 p.m. and since when I went they had already closed the next day at 9:00 in the morning, how could they leave me stranded without warning or anything?... Thank goodness the company He was able to find me a car from another company that is located at the bus station that is right next door for that weekend. Well, were not going to talk about the two shop assistants they have... who, on top of that, laugh and make fun of it! How unprofessional!! Bueno y no vamos hablar de las dos dependientas que tienen que encima se rien y se lo toman a cachondeo! Que poco profesionales!! A los companeros de Avis sevilla de aeropuerto y estacion de trenes ya se los comente y me dicen que es raro porque les dicen que a la empresa donde trabajo siempre hay que averiguar algo ya que nos movemos mucho, pero es que me cabrea tener que estar cuadrando trenes, horarios o hacer doble vueltas por los horarios que tienen o las irresponsabilidad de las dos trabajadoras que tienen alli! I couldnt take the car I had reserved since I didnt have a physical card. Seriously, in the year 2024 I cannot use my cell phone in a multinational company establishment. Anyway, thank goodness its possible in SIXT.

The worst car rental experience I have had was with Avis Budget at Cordoba Station Avoid it whenever you can. We were taken care of by Lourdes, with regrettable treatment. Bad experience at Avis Cordoba. My husband and I felt robbed by Avis and neglected by the attendants. They sold us the insurance service for 3 euros/day and charged us 14 euros/day. When we questioned the attendant, she said that we should read the contract and that she couldnt do anything in relation to what we had contracted in Seville (since they are the same brand). Other customers who were in the store also complained about the same problem. Lets call the courts and lawyers to review the values because this is theft.
