We booked through our Tui rep at the hotel. The price was very reasonable and the car was very well presented. Getting the car and returning it was an easy process. We received the car with a full tank of petrol ( they hold about EUR90 on your card) and you can return it with a full tank and this is cancelled, or they will charge you for half a tank etc for what you use. From Cala n Bosch you can get petrol from the outskirts of Ciutadella, a few miles away. All in all, a great experience.

Had a very pleasant experience with Owners Cars in Cala En Bosch. We filled out forms out on the website and took out their car insurance as it can be a ball ache for all concerned if you need to claim and use a third party. Guy dealing with us was very polite and decent, and upgraded us from the small car we'd reserved to a larger SUV type vehicle. They took a deposit for diesel, which was back in my bank account the following morning after returning the keys. Would definitely use again.

Got charged for petrol day after returning even though it was filled up when I left it. Check your credit cards after returning and keep receipt when filling up. Photo of dashboard with time stamp might also be a good idea.

As previous reviewers have commented, the grey haired guy working there is obnoxious, condescending and doesn't understand the concept of "customer service". Can only assume he's grumpy at having to work whilst others are enjoying their holiday, and therefore feels obliged to put a downer on things. He continually spoke over us when we asked questions. Having read previous reviews I was somewhat prepared to meet this fella however was still shocked by his attitude. Will be using a different agency when we return to the island

Rented a car for one day. No problems whatsoever. Nice staff. It's possible to return the car after closing time by putting the keys in thier little mail box. Edit: Went back to rent another car a few days later. The door was closed and when i started to open it the man inside just shook his head and looked annoyed. They probably didn't have any cars left. But in that case he could have just told me that... Dropping one star.

Very unprofessional car hire. Old English man that works there is extremely obnoxious and aggressive. I didn't want to buy their rip-off excess insurance for EUR10 a day as a simple google search sells it for EUR2. AVOID!!!

Really rude and unhelpful staff. If you have been wise enough to take out your own excess and CDW insurance elsewhere they will not be happy about it. The man on the desk is condescending, rude, unhelpful and clearly does not enjoy his job. He also made me sign the forms before letting me look at the condition of the car I was renting, and when I asked him if I should check the car for damage first he was extremely rude! Avoid!!!!

Very disappointed to avoid. We rented for a day through our operator. Price 51 euros per day + credit card imprint for 91 euros to guarantee a full tank of gasoline. We waited a very long time in the morning because of only one unfriendly agent. The vehicle was to be collected from a parking lot 5 minutes walk from the agency so no inventory of the vehicle. The tank indicated 7/8 for 1 autonomy of 520 kms we covered 89 kilometers with the vehicle. We returned it after refueling with a range of 580 km. Unfortunately no gas receipts, there were none at the pump. Our card was charged 18 euros, this is not the right amount to report the scam. We returned with almost 8/8 they decided it was 7/8. TO FLEE because its a scam

We booked a car through our tour operator. Upon arrival we were informed that we would have to pay an additional deposit of 49.92. The amount was then charged to my VISA card. The employee told us that the tank was 4/8 full. When we left the town, the fuel gauge switched to 3/8. We drove a total of 139km with the car and refueled in Ciutadella for 20 and returned the car with 4/8 tank full. On my statement (received by email one day after submission) 3/8 tank full was incorrectly stated and my VISA card is now charged 12.48. We immediately asked for reasons by email. Even when we asked again, we did not receive an answer. I cannot recommend this car rental company under any circumstances. Never again owners cars!

Wir haben ein Auto uber unseren Reiseveranstalter gebucht. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir zusatzlich eine Kaution in Hohe von 49,92 hinterlegen mussen. Der Betrag wurde dann meiner VISA-Karte belastet. Der Mitarbeiter teilte uns mit, dass der Tank zu 4/8 gefullt seih. Beim Verlassen der Ortschaft schaltete die Tankanzeige schon auf 3/8 um. Wir sind mit dem Auto in Summe 139km gefahren und haben fur 20 in Ciutadella getankt und das Auto mit 4/8 Tankfullung abgegeben. Auf meiner Abrechnung (einen Tag nach der Abgabe per E-Mail erhalten) wurde nun falschlicherweise 3/8 Tankfullung angegeben und meine VISA-Karte wird nun mit 12,48 belastet. Wir haben unmittelbar per E-Mail um Begrundung gebeten. Auch auf nochmaliger Nachfrage haben wir keine Antwort erhalten. Ich kann diese Autovermietung keinesfalls empfehlen. Nie wieder Owners Cars!

If you can, choose another rental company. The employee who handed me the keys was uncommonly unpleasant, he doesnt even look at you in the face and as I have read in other reviews he treats you like an idiot. Furthermore, the car, which had just 500 km on, after 200 meters the warning light came on with the request to urgently have the engine checked. I pointed this out to the operator (re-lining the queue again, wasting over half an hour) who told me it was just a simple warning light (!?). Luckily it didnt cause any major problems, except twice when I had to turn it off and on because the engine wouldnt rev up.

Limpiegato che mi ha consegnato le chiavi era di un antipatia fuori dal comune, non ti guarda neanche in faccia e come ho letto in altre recensioni ti tratta come un deficiente. Inoltre lauto, che aveva appena 500 km, dopo 200 metri si e accesa la spia con con la richiesta di fare controllare urgentemente il motore. Lho fatto presente alloperatore (rifacendo di nuovo la coda perdendo oltre mezzora) che mi ha detto che era solo una semplice spia di segnalazione (!?). Per fortuna non ha dato grossi problemi, tranne due volte che lho dovuta spegnere e accendere perche il motore non saliva di giri.

The treatment given by the Office employees was degrading due to the fact that I had rented the car through a website and took out the insurance on that website. They made me feel as if I were ignorant, bad manners, out of place comments making you feel like a second-class customer, if this company does not want to rent through search engines, they do not allow it, but they treat the customer with the same respect as those who rent through their website, to keep in mind, uncleaned car, no water in You clean them and the trunk occupied by 2 child seats, lets say without checking the vehicle, if the owners want good reviews, they should change employees in this Office.

In principle recommended. We had booked a car through our tour operator. Unfortunately, there was already a long line in front of the store when we picked it up, and our car also had a problem that cost us another hour. However, we are on vacation and not on the run, especially since the employees really put a lot of effort into (and managed to) repair our car. I find the prices to be reasonable and the car was in good condition, commensurate with the mileage.

Leider war zum Abholzeitpunkt schon eine lange Schlange vor dem Geschaft, zudem hatte unser Auto leider auch einen Defekt, der uns eine weitere Stunde gekostet hat. Allerdings sind wir ja im Urlaub und nicht auf der Flucht, zumal die Mitarbeiter sich wirklich viel Muhe gegeben haben (und es auch geschafft haben) unser Auto zu reparieren. Went there yesterday but unfortunately the office wasnt occupied even though the opening times stated so. We then made a reservation for today, were warmly welcomed, received an upgrade and can only recommend the service at Autos Menorca from today. It also has the best price-performance ratio compared to other providers.
