Resulta que, despues de 30 dias que haran manana de la entrega del vehiculo de sustitucion (vehiculo entregado antes de la fecha) sigo sin ver el dinero de la fianza de vuelta. Llamo en numerosas ocasiones y siempre me dicen que ellos ya tienen solicitado el reembolso. La primera vez, me dicen que de 3 a 10 dias y, a continuacion, que se puede alargar hasta 1 mes. No conforme con eso, mi aseguradora me comunica que esa fianza nunca me la debieron de cobrar. Y bueno, aqui sigo a la espera de que algun dia la obtenga de vuelta. Tengo claro donde no volveria a depositar ni mi dinero, ni mi con-fianza.
It turns out that, after 30 days tomorrow from the delivery of the replacement vehicle (vehicle delivered before the date) I still have not seen the deposit money back. I call numerous times and they always tell me that they have already requested a refund. The first time, they tell me 3 to 10 days and then that it can be extended up to 1 month. Not satisfied with that, my insurer tells me that they should never have collected that deposit from me. And well, here I am still waiting for one day to get it back. I am clear about where I would not deposit my money or my trust again.
Der Service im Rahmen der Anmietung war vorbildlich. Man sollte allerdings darauf gefasst sein, dass Vertragsanderungen (z.B. die Aufnahme eines weiteren Fahrers) nur ruckwirkend fur die gesamte Mietzeit moglich sind. Auf Ruckfrage, welche Optionen im Notfall (eingetragener Fahrer kann selbst nicht mehr fahren) zu Verfugung stunden, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass man dann wohl den Pannendienst rufen konnte. Fazit: Der Kunde soll bezahlen und die Klappe halten. Ein Hinweis, dass Kundenservice anders aussieht wurde mit dem Satz kommentiert "Sie sind hier in Spanien und nicht in Deutschland". Update: Der in der Antwort von Europcar genannte Link fuhrt lediglich zur Startseite, auf der man sich muhselig durch den Kundenservice klicken muss. Wenn man dann seine Nachricht ubermittelt hat, bekommt man eine freundliche Bestatigung mit dem Hinweis, dass diese innerhalb von 7(!) Tagen beantwortet wird. Zielfuhrend? Update: Feedback vom Kundenservice: "Ich bedaure die unangenehme Situation sehr, aber das ist unsere Politik.". Meine Empfehlung: Mietwagen in Zukunft bei Unternehmen mieten, deren Politik eher in Richtung Kundenservice geht.
The service during the rental was exemplary. However, you should be prepared that contract changes (e.g. adding an additional driver) are only possible retroactively for the entire rental period. When I asked what options were available in an emergency (the registered driver can no longer drive), I was told that you could then probably call the breakdown service. Conclusion: The customer should pay and shut up. A hint that customer service looks different would be commented with the sentence "You are here in Spain and not in Germany". Update: The link mentioned in Europcar's answer only leads to the homepage, where you have to laboriously click through to customer service. Once you have sent your message, you will receive a friendly confirmation stating that it will be answered within 7(!) days. Targeted? Update: Feedback from customer service: "I am very sorry for the unpleasant situation, but that is our policy.". My recommendation: in the future, rent rental cars from companies whose policies are more towards customer service.
Auto Ubernahme und Abgabe vollig problemlos. Unser Fiat war sauber und in einem tadellosen Zustand. Die Mitarbeiter bei der Abholung und Abgabe waren sehr freundlich. Der Weg zur Tiefgarage und wo man welche PIN eingeben muss wird sehr gut erklart. Die Station ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Picking up and dropping off the car was completely hassle-free. Our Fiat was clean and in immaculate condition. The staff at pick-up and drop-off were very friendly. The way to the underground car park and where you have to enter which PIN is explained very well. The station is highly recommended.

Overall good experience. Nice staff, okay cars. Easy booking and picking up car. Only at the return, it took several attempts to find someone who would check the car and sign the return papers. Was sent back and forth between garage and office counter several times. I guess they usually have customers who sign up for the premium protection and do not care about the return conditions. Still, I would rent here again.

I find Europcar generally a very good and reliable rental company. In this branch I had a nice and competent experience. Friendly staff. A little waiting time is expected, especially if someone just walks in before. Can't fault it. Europcar saved my trip when I was here in Chiclana.
Absolutely the best staff, my car was broken into, I had a courtesy car for 3 weeks, & Europcar helped make the inconvenient easier to cope with, a kiss to Ambrosio, he was lovely to deal with
