Alamo Rent A Car in Charlotte

Lady at desk tried to charge me more than my reserved rate & had hard time resolving the issue. However, once that was squared away the folks out in the garage couldn't have been more nice & accommodating. Car we had was clean & in excellent repair. Checking back in process was fast / pleasant/ accurate. Would rent here again no question about it.

Booked through Costco. Went to the counter (slight line). Process at the counter was straight forward. Attendant was nice. Got the info finalized. Went to the garage and the attendant there said the category to choose cars from. Car was good the whole trip. Returned elsewhere. I'd do the same process again.

Alamo Rental in Charlotte Airport. The Transition from first picking up the rental at the desk was a pleasure. And then to returning the truck , it was so easy No stress at all. Pull up grab your things and head to your gate. It was such a pleasure. I will definitely be choosing Alamo for our next visit.

I rent my cars from Alamo for many reasons. The reservation process was seamless and straightforward. I did everything online--reservation, check-in, and without ever needing to visit the counter. I was able to skip the line, avoid filling out paperwork on-site, and simply head straight to the car lot to pick up my vehicle. It was so convenient to handle it all from the comfort of my seat. Plus, if any issues arise, Alamo's customer service is exceptional!

Signage for Car Pickup in Charlotte Airport did NOT match instructions given in email. Floor numbers were not aligned and therefor up and down, down and up, and some guesswork (logical thinking) were required to find where to get the car and be able to SKIP the counter. No person was around in the garage as we were determining from which row to select our vehicle. Also, clarification of SUV mid-size wasn't obvious. The car we selected turned out to be older (38k miles) and the back seat was stained and dirty. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until the following day when we had a passenger for the backseat. It was gross. Drop-off (a day early and in a different city) was expensive - it cost me an additional $130 or so. This change was due to the arrival of Hurricane Helene. I think the weather should have eliminated additional costs - in light of safety and need for change of travel plans. Not a great car rental experience, overall. I rent cars 3-5 times per year. I will not use Alamo unless there is no alternative.

Rented at the Charlotte Airport. The desk agent did a nice job getting me going in a timely manner. Had no issues with my rental. He did a great job helping the customer in front of me get a car for a trip to California. Person was military and got the run around from another rental company. From what I could tell the Alamo staff went above and beyond to help out.

My family got stuck in Charlotte, NC when the second leg of our travels from Dublin, Ireland to Fort Myers, FL was cancelled with no flight available for three days. Alamo's agent was very courteous and helpful as she helped my family get a car right away and finish our trip. The process was quick, and we were in a clean car in less than 20 minutes from point of contact.

I recently rented from Alamo Car Rental at Charlotte's Douglas International Airport and I chose the skip the line option. From the time I stepped onto the lot until the return of the vehicle, I had nothing less than phenomenal Customer Service. I was immediately greeted and assisted to my vehicle, and my bags were placed in the vehicle for me. The vehicle was very clean. There were several associates available for further assistance throughout the lot. Very nice vehicles available. I also received communications regarding airline software issues that may have affected my rental period and the need for adjustments. I will be an Alamo Car Rental for life. The experience was 1000 times better than an experience at another airport with another well known rental company!
