Rental in Castellon city on 19.11.2024. + very friendly staff, availability on short term, efficient online booking and check in. Clean car, lot of mileage (60 000 km) but functioning correctly, no problem with return because purchased full insurance, inside was clean and tank was refilled close by, and showing ticket. - Risky rental business model with questionable practices regarding extra's. Even if no bad experience sofar, can understand negative comments in review, and revolted by the AI type of answers given by the owner. Apparent low price can become expensive if mechanical problem for which driver is not responsible, or small scratch that you did not detect when picking up. You are encouraged to take full insurance and on top an insurance for towage and road assistance which in my experience is rather unique and as if mechanical condition of the cars are questionable, with high probability of mechanical breakdown. Even Ryanair is not offering this extra option. Recommend to compare prices considering you have to include insurance for damage and insurance for road assistance, to avoid bad surprises.

Unfortunatly we made the biggest mistake by not reading these guys reviews first. Booked and paid with these guys months for a family holiday of 9 people, including 2 babies only weeks old. The booking allowed us to pick up our car at 10:30pm at night. However, our Ryanair flight was delayed, and it wasn't until 12:15am before we got to their booth in Barcelona Airport. To our shock, they were closed. The other car hire companies beside them told us that they never wait around for delayed flights and they close at 11pm anyway. So why on earth can these guys allow bookings 30 mins before they close. 30 mins in an airport is nothing. I have never in 15 years of hiring cars off any other company been let down. They always wait around or organise the keys to be left elsewhere if they see a flight is been delayed. Over 3 hours later and - EUR200 on taxis before we got to solou no thanks to these gangsters. They will reply to this post with their policy rubbish as they always do with negative feedback, please just ignore the nonsense from them. A lot more other people have had the same experience if you just read through their feedback.
I rented a beautiful blue Citroen C4 for a week. The car was flawless and impeccably clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am extremely satisfied. I will choose them again next time!
I liked this car rental company! As they specified in the rental offer, that's exactly how it was! I recommend with all sincerity! On the first occasion in Castellon, I will also request a car from them! As for Miss Salima and Sara, very professional
Sara at Record go was fantastic from start to finish. She spoke perfect English & explained why hiring direct rather than through a comparison site would not only save us money but also give us better cover. A great experience all round with really helpful staff. Thanks again Sara, we will definitely use this company again
I wouldn't even give them 1 star! I collected the car from Barcelona Airport and it was dark and raining. The car had a 3/4 tank of fuel in it. There was residue from Sellotape all around one of the rear windows. Anyway, they took the rental charge for a second time even though I had already paid for rental cars directly. They then charged me 200 euros for crossing the border into France. When I returned the car they signed off my paperwork and said everything was fine with the car and then the following day they deducted another 200 Euro from my account and told me that the car required extra cleaning! The car was not even dirty and I have photos to prove that. I also returned the car full of petrol. So it cost me nearly PS500 for 5 days of car hire from them. They are complete rip-off merchants! i would never trust them and would urge people to look elsewhere! as other better-known car hire companies are a lot more reliable and you can trust them! Believe me I would use stronger language and give a more detailed description of how i found record go but i do not want this review removed due to being Defamatory!
CAPTION: Don't book with them - you will end up paying much more! When we were booking the car in mid-September, we had very little time left and booked with Record Go because their prices were much lower. We did not heed to all those reviews saying that this agency employs shady practices (like charge people for scratches to the underside of their front bumper). Now I want to post this review so that other people can learn from our experience. My impression is that the primary goal of Record Go is to make their customers pay as much money in addition to their booking as possible. And their people do everything in their power to achieve that. We booked through an online aggregator (Discover Cars) and our package included certain insurance items, including CDW and theft insurance with a deductible. When we came to Record Go at Seville airport, their employee informed us that we had no insurance at all and therefore were well advised to buy the full insurance package from them - or we "would be liable for any damage that happens to the car". When I tried to object saying that we did have certain insurance included, the guy simply ignored my comments and repeated what he said before (his English also left a lot to be desired, so we could not understand him well in some cases). This strange situation, coupled with reports of these guys charging people for things like scratches to the underside of their bumpers, compelled my wife and myself to pay EUR 200 for the full insurance package. This is something we would typically never do, but we just did not trust Record Go and had to pay that additional amount. Then the guy told us that since we were going to travel to Portugal (while renting in Spain), we would have to pay EUR 9 for each day of our rental. I mentioned that this was not included in the terms & conditions issued to us at booking (which I had with me) - but the guy told us he did not care about those terms & conditions because... they had their own terms & conditions at Record Go Seville airport!... Hilarious situation, and you have no options but to pay - or be left with no car at the start of your vacation. My special indignation goes to the Record Go employee at Sevilla airport named Diego. His behavior resembles that of a crook and borders on outright extortion. If Record Go managers ever bother to read these reviews - I certainly hope they consider carefully whether they want to keep such employees. When I arrived to surrender my car at the end of our trip, the return of the car went well for two reasons - 1. We had already purchased full insurance (so there was nothing more for Record Go to charge us for) and 2. Diego was not the employee who handled our car return. But I did observe an interesting situation when another group of customers arrived to return their car - and Diego went to handle that return. Well, and what do you know?! Within 1 minute the guy was squatting and inspecting the underside of the front bumper, saying that he saw scratches there!!! The clients were shocked and tried to explain to Diego that they were not to blame for those scratches, but Diego was having none of it. They were still arguing when I left. I attach a picture of this outrageous situation. Takeaway - if you do not want to become the next customer paying for scratches on the underside of the front bumpers, do not deal with Record Go :)
