Charged EUR60 for cleaning the car that was perfectly clean. Last time I was charged EUR15 for fuel having driven 1kilometre from fuel station. Manager is scamming everyone. Reviews say it all

A very poor level of customer service, a filthy car and an office that is not open when you collect or drop off the car. I booked online to collect a car at 1pm. I arrived at the rental office twenty minutes early to collect the car, but it was closed, with a note saying someone would be back soon. After waiting 25 minutes a male arrived in a Europcar polo shirt. No apology for being late and very rude. No handover with the car, very poor customer service.The exterior of the car was filthy and it was difficult to check what was dirt and what might have been damage. The interior of the car had litter on the floor and stuffed down the sides of the seats. When I refuelled, the car took a great deal more fuel than it should have done, indicating that the previous hirer had not completely filled it. When I returned the car, there was nowhere to park it, the garage I had collected it from was closed and the buzzer remained unanswered. The office (which is supposed to be open) was again closed. I would not recommend this company for car hire and I certainly will never use them again. Very poor service at a premium cost.

Europcar told me I could return the car on sunday and leave the keys in the deposit box. But the parking is closed with a fence, ringing the bell...no answer...call them...no answer. Now what? Edit next day: brought it back again next day at 9 and they dare to charge me one extra day. What a scam. I complaint at the Spanish customer service, but no response yet.

BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM! I rented a car online and when I went to take it the employee in the office told me that I should pay a deposit and tried to push me to pay insurance. The initial price of the rental online was 37 euros and at the office it turned to a whopping 217 euros for a small car for 3 days. I told the employee to cancel the rental but he said that he couldn't do anything! And the best part is that they took the 37 euros online and never returned it knowing that I never took the car.

Don't use this office! Even though I clearly said, that I didn't want any services in addition to the ones I already paid for, they charged me, without explaining or even telling me, an additional 77 Euros for extra insurance. Also, the one person in the office isn't capable of doing everything alone, so I was supposed to leave the car on the sideway of a big street in front of the garage (the door didn't work), without somebody checking it. Felt extremely unprofessional and unsafe. There are better options nearby.

The deal is a disaster, they have no place to leave the car. They charged me 60 euros for special cleaning and they delivered the car to me all dirty, but since it is a dark basement where you pick it up, I didnt see them. I rented a car a month ago, they charged me a 100 deposit that they have not yet returned to me and I left the car as they gave it to me (photos and everything). Now, after a month, not only have they not returned my deposit, but 11 euros have been charged from my card just because. They dont pick up the phone, they have no other way of contact. This is called theft and it is reportable, in case you didnt know. Do not rent with them, there are other cheaper and more reliable ways.

In addition to this, he clarified that we had been lucky since in the afternoons they didnt have to be there (I dont remember if he said all of them or todays) which surprises me because their schedule says that only on Friday afternoons they dont open ... This opens the door to asking many questions such as: So what were you doing there? Or if steps are not taken because the door is open? Or why was he dressed in shorts and a sports shirt, instead of his usual uniform? Or why doesnt Europcar clarify its schedules better on Google? ...Ill leave it there. Ademas de esto, nos aclaro que habiamos tenido suerte ya que por las tardes no tenian porque estar alli (no recuerdo si dijo todas o la de hoy) cosa que me extrana porque su horario pone que solo los viernes por la tarde no abren ... Esto abre la puerta a hacer muchas preguntas del tipo ?entonces que hacia alli? o ?si no se hacen gestiones porque tienen la puerta abierta? o ?por que iba vestido con unas calzonas y camiseta de deporte, en vez de su uniforme habitual? o ?por que Europcar no aclara mejor sus horarios en google? ... ahi lo dejo. Espero que esto les sirva de ayuda, para mejorar su servicios en esta oficina, ya que en otras ha sido ejemplar. Un saludo

I have to admit that I was distressed and thinking that I was going to have a fight with them when delivering the car, after having read the reviews. I speak from my experience: I went because the insurance company left me a replacement car with them. The office was open at opening time, I had to put a deposit of 150 euros with the t. credit in case I didnt return it with the same gasoline and cleaning. Before taking the car, I told the manager about the damage that was visible on it (one scratch was noted in his database, another was not), in any case he did not write anything down, claiming that he would do so later. The car was a Peugeot 308 model 2023 (very new) and in principle I returned it washed and clean after 12 days. They didnt charge me any fees (if I see that they do, I update and lower the quality of the review) and everything went without any problems. Thats why I give it 4 stars, fortunately my experience has been good, the treatment was correct and everything was in order as it should be. I take away 1 star due to the issue of defects not indicated in the contract, although they kept their word of not caring and taking it into account.

Hablo de mi experiencia: Fui porque el seguro me dejaba un coche de sustitucion con ellos. La oficina estaba abierta a la hora de apertura, tuve que poner una fianza de 150 euros con la t. de credito por si no lo devolvia con la misma gasolina y limpieza. Antes de llevarme el coche le indique al encargado de los desperfectos que se veian en el mismo, (un rayon estaba anotado en su base de datos otro no) en cualquier caso no anoto nada alegando que luego lo haria. El coche fue un Peugeot 308 modelo 2023 (nuevisimo) y en principio lo devolvi a los 12 dias lavado y limpio. No me cobraron ningun cargo (si veo que si, actualizo y bajo la calidad de la resena) y todo fue sin ningun problema. Por ello le pongo 4 estrellas, mi experiencia afortunadamente ha sido buena, el trato correcto y todo en orden como debe ser. Le quito 1 estrella por el tema de los desperfectos no indicados en el contrato, aunque cumplieron su palabra de no importar y tenerlo en cuenta.
