if you reece by a third party you will get a bunch of extra charges at this place. Online insurance won't work he either and the insurance they offer will cost you more than the rental-beware. Next time-if any -I'll call directly for all charges
Straight scam I rented a car here in August they still didn't refund me my money of $276 and it's the end of November. I called and they ran me around telling me my bank needs to refund me and then my bank tells me they are lying I filed a complaint with the Better business and they haven't respond to them. I will be contacting my lawyer to sue is my next steps.
After we have purchased insurance with Expedia, on the rental desk they told us that that insurance was not valid and they sold us their insurance that supposedly covers everything, including theft, vandalism and accidents. First red flag! The next day someone stole the spare tire. Guess what? The insurance did not cover the stolen tire, they charge us $1000 for a single tire, despite we having a police report and the insurance. Their claim is that the tires were not covered. Beware of this agency, this all seems so fishy! NU rentals made our experience in Puerto Rico very sad an unpleasant.
Great price and customer service! Word of advice, do not buy the 3rd party (Orbitz, Expedia, etc) car insurance; instead request to transfer current car insurance coverage, or check your credit card insurance coverage (for example, I got mine with my Gold American Express).
Easeway Rentals provided a stress free rental experience. The shuttle arrived immediately for pick up and the service was excellent. Dixon was friendly and accommodating. I am, however, only giving four stars because the pricing is not as transparent as a client would prefer. Once you arrive, keep in mind that extra fees will be included along with the insurance that might bring the price up by $200 unless you have an Amex card with car insurance.
We rented through Expedia and our experience was much better than we expected giving the low rate we paid for the 3 day rental. The vehicle was cleaned and newer model with incredible gas mileage. Service was good, a little slow on both rental and return. They could use more staff at the counter, but they were doing all they could to expedite the process. I would rent from them again. Wishing the company much success.
I can't say enough good things about nu car rental. I came on 8/20 check in was a breeze with Pauline car ran great. Check out 8/25 was just as good. Very affordable. I will rent again as soon as I come back to beautiful PR
Save your time energy and money. The advertised price is not what you will be greated with. You will be charged for something, anything addl. Be aware that even if you declare insurance you will be held in the amount of your deductible plus what ever fee they want to tack on. They do not give an option to pay as you go with tolls they charge $8 vs $5 a day. Go with a more known reputable company in the long run you are not saving money. Wish it was a better start to our vacation but lesson learned. Rating 1/5 stars.
