They are a franchise location and will make your vacation a nightmare. They don't answer the phone at all, I had to go into the location to get answers for anything. Now that I'm back in the state and they messed up their invoicing it's been an absolute disaster to get any straight answers. 1 month post vacation and I'm still trying to deal with erroneous charges.
They charged me $100 more than what I have in my contract. I have been trying to contact them for two weeks and they still can't answer me about my extra charges and I made a dispute with my credit card. Be very careful when you close your contract. Get a print it Save it In case you have any problems.
Hertz was very helpful. We originally booked a 7 passenger vehicle through another company. When we arrived it was only a 6 passenger and didn't accommodate our group. Hertz allowed us to switch our reservation to them and gave us a 7 passenger. While having it we experienced a low tire pressure light several times. We added air and it kept getting low. We called and they met us and brought us another 7 passenger vehicle at no charge. Great customer service. Staff was very accommodating and kind.
Service is slower than regular but they came through. We waited about 45 minutes to get car we had reserved. We found roach with eggs in car compartment lol but car worked well in general. We rented a jeep wrangler. Best car to rent out in the island. When we turned in car during mid day , they were pretty quick in checking us out as we emptied the car.
This is not a regular hertz location!! Rather a separate company using the hertz name. After passing a sign that said that I should proceeded to the directory board my name was not on the board, so I spoke to an agent there and he directed me to a car that I was barely able to fit in. I had a reservation for a regular carand I am a President Circle member. When I told that to this representative, he simply responded "sorry" and every time I explain my issue that's all he said. There were plenty other cars there and he refused to give me anything else. Although I do like Hertz, next time I fly into San Juan I will use a different company.
Do not use this private owned company that uses hertz name. They have been absolutely rude to work with. We were involved in a hit and run and they charged us the $500 deposit for damage. Okay fine it was barely even a scratch. I put in for my insurance to pay it and this company will not send over the demand letter and the itemized estimate or repair. So my insurance cannot file anything because this company will not send these documents over. Again because it was a scratch. The car needs no repair it is still drivable so they did not fix anything and will not send over the stuff to my insurance company.... Now I am left paying the $500 for damage I did not cause...........
Worst service I've ever experienced for car rental. The people working here do not care. Car smelled like smoke, it clearly states all cars are non smoking. The car wouldn't shift when driving. The car had maintenance required lights come on. The car horn would not stop beeping when you drive. We returned the car early and had to argue to get a refund for the days not used. They said everything was our fault.
Make sure you rent on line probably wont get a car if you don't. Expect to wait in line a long long time. They only had a few people working probably short staffed like all of us so thats understandable. The lady at counter was very nice. The company should have a better system for people who are waiting in line especially for the elderly or handicapped. Maybe give numbers and allow people to sit ...an hour is a long time to stand for some people. Take pictures inside and out some cars are damaged just to protect yourself. The car ran fine
