It's a scam don't go. They quote you on price on line and they force you into buying insurance that will end up costing you almost double what you were showed on line. Just do yourself a favor and rent from Avis or Enterprise. It will be cheaper and save you a bunch of time. They just pray on the fact that you are there and don't want to go back to the airport instead of over paying. Everyone working there was super nice but the the business model is bait and switch.

Worse rental company, as you see I rented this car and the cause was the tire was old and have no care, the guy with the glasses in the front desk when he was hearing my conversation with my insurance company he was joking about the charges they would charge about 1400 to 4500 for the damages they would taken advantage in a single car what happen to me nor my Mother for that safety and was stranded for 2 hours for a tow truck they don't offer my reaction to it was like I would punch that guy in the face for that but I held my peace so he is a crook and talk badly about anyone when the customers leave from the building and a smart mouth they charged me for blown tires when the tires is not my fault because it very old and please check the tires with all the cars you see and try another company . 100% checked the tires all tires with all the cars each one of them is bald tires that already old and their insurance is outrageous. They keep charging me over 1,400 on my credit card ....that's ridiculous also I hope they bankrupt one day with their practice of deception

My family and I did a weekend vacation and rented a car from here. Car got us around and back with no problems. We did wait a bit for their van to pick us up at the airport but we were fine with that. Staff were nice and very helpful. I lost my watch and saw that it was in our rental car but we were already back home in Vegas. So I called Europcar and let them know I left my watch in the car we rented, they found it in the car, we arranged on how to send it back to me and I got it back. If you're looking for a decent car at a decent price this place is great. Thank you Europcar for returning my watch and for providing a great car to help my family and I get to places and back.

If you want a peaceful, relaxing vacation in PR, don't rent from this place. We booked this as part of a package deal on Expedia so I guess this is a "you get what you pay for" thing. But damn, my 2014 honda civic is in better condition than the 2022 hyundai accent they provided. Place is not actually at the airport, need to wait for their shuttle to arrive, which wasn't a problem for us. Get your own collision AND liability insurance on the car otherwise you'll have to purchase theirs which might be pricey. $250 holding deposit in case you damage the car. There's other additional hidden fees that I can't seem to find an explanation for on my invoice. All 4 tires were BALD and a tire popped on my way to the hotel. We were practically stranded for hours with our 1 year old looking for help. Literally called Europcar 8 times and no one picked up. Emailed them and they never replied or followed up. Thank goodness my boyfriend has AAA that covers him in PR and they came through and saved the day. Drove around on the donut tire until the next day. Went back to Europcar and they proceeded to charge $165 for the tire, why ? No explanation, on top of the holding deposit of $250 :) When I questioned them about not answering the phone the guy gave me a basic answer of that has nothing to do with us and we wouldn't have been able to help with the tire anyway. No type of urgency or care just charged us and gave us a new car. Also, they'll charge extra $30-50 if there's any sand or stains in the car :)

I think Europcar is a good car rental service for a short car usage around the Island. Book with insurance ahead of time to prevent any issues at check-in, I can't stress this enough.Please note this is outside of the airport and you will have to take the shuttle that picks you up at the airport for transport to their main location or take an Uber. This was our only inconvenience as there is not a set schedule for the shuttle to come and the phone of the company was constantly busy. The pickup was pretty smooth, however, and the dropoff was very quick. When you're booking through Expedia, please be aware there might be additional fees (about $30 more on top of your price on liability fees) so plan accordingly. Otherwise, we had no issues with Europcar. We booked without noticing some of the bad experiences some customers have had, but did not have any issues ourselves thankfully.

Bad service the tank of the car it was not full and my husband have you put gas and the windshield in the front it's was a little crack and the car was very dirty outside!! Not good service!! And Shuttled never pick us up from the Airport I was calling and calling and they never pick the phone calls My Husband he pay a Taxi to drop off on the place and the shuttle was there to!! Please don't go to this place!! Bad reviews my me!! Have a Nice day!

If I could give this place "0" stars I would. The worst experience ever. If you need a car and this is the only place available. Just walk!! The cars are in mediocre condition. Scratched and dented. They try to up sale you insurance as a scare tactic. Took 2 hours to get the car after already having a reservation. And an hour to be picked up from the airport terminal. They keep the phone off the hook. So good luck!

I give them 4 stars because of the following 2 points. 1. I ordered a Toyota Corolla and what I got it was a Hyundai Elantra. It was a nice car also but if you order a specific model, you wait to got what you ordered 2. When I arrived to the airport, I had to wait an hour to arrive the shuttle bus. That's my 2 reason. Since I came for business the car was fine, but if I came in family that may be a problem. The girl who attended me was great. She was really polite and easygoing. I really appreciate that.

Horrible, horrible, horrible ... The shuttle never showed up. Had to have someone else pick us up. Stood in line with people who waited 2 hours for a shuttle and have been waiting one hour to pick up their car. There are 7 individuals waiting for a car and now the service person comes out and says therr are only 2 cars left and Im #7 on the list. THANKS YOU PRICELINE for this horrible recommendation.

I have a bad experience with this rental company. The car was scratched, it smelled inside, the seats were in white spots. A week after returning the car they charged $300 from my credit card. They did not inform me what they took the money for. They do not answer the phone, do not answer emails. I had full insurance. I do not recommend this rental company. It is better to take a taxi than them.

Worst car rental experience in a long time! Waited for about 45min for the shuttle that never showed up. In the meantime, shuttles for the other rental companies had many, many rounds already. Tried to call about 20 times but the phone is always busy. Several others who had reservations were also waiting and everyone eventually gave up and rented from one of the other companies that have desks at the San Juan airport. I saw all the horrible reviews too late or I would have avoided this company!

Horrible experience. The bus never arrived to pick us up at the airport and they didnt answer the phone either. We had to invest in another rental with another company because europcar never responded. We do not recommend it at all.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Lets start with they are suppose to have a van/shuttle that picks up people from the airport to take them to their offsite location. We waited about 30 mins and it never came called office multiple times and no answer. Took a taxi to location just to be told that even though we had a reservation they had no car for us, asked us to come back the following day. While waiting for a ride back to the airport a car pulls in to be to returned. and the whole front is crashed and has parts hanging off. WOULD not recommend this location at all. They are cheap for a reason!!!

Reserved a car well in advance. Showed up and waited forever for a shuttle that never came. Couldnt reach anyone on the phone, so we had to pay for an Uber. Got there to find out they were out of cars. The staff were nice enough to shuttle us somewhere else to try and sort it out, and provide an email stating we didnt take possession of a vehicle, but what is a reservation for if it doesnt actually hold a vehicle for you? If you run out of vehicles, Id expect some sort of notice rather than having to show up in person (on my own dime) to find out Im not getting a vehicle and need to scramble to do something else.

I had this booked with my trip from expedia. We got to the airport and this europcar was 10 min drive to go pick up the car. We got at the airport and waited over an hour for their shuttle to come pick us up and no one came. We called the phone number on file and that number did not even ring and kept giving busy tone. We finally paid for a taxi to go to the eurpecar and staff there was so unprofessional and rude. When I asked why you guys are not answering calls they said we dont have car to give for rental. I told them we had prior booking and continued to say no cars available when many cars were outside. She finally took our ID and saw our booking and no apology even once for the rude behavior or even offered to pay for the taxi we paid for to come there for the shuttle. I got their manager phone number and he kept blaming everything on Expedia. This place is ridiculous do not book with them. Stay away from here.

I could give this place a zero star . DO NOT RENT from this place . Do NOT . First this place is NOT at the airport , it s near . I had a reservation and confirmation for an suv and they told me they rent it to another person . They gave me a car , dirty , no gas , bad tires and with a weird noice . I complain and they said at lease you have a car . I had to take due to my in-laws needed to eat due to they are diabetic, I had no other option . There was people arriving to pick up their car and they told them there is no cars . People were arguing and very upset . This is a terrible impression of the island for tourists. To return the car at the airport was a nightmare. They say return it at the 4 floor but there was no parking and we were about to lose our flight . We were looking for parking for 45 minutes . We had to leave it in another parking . I called and text the managers and no respond . Please if you want to relax and enjoy your vacation stay way far away from this place .

I agree with the last person if I could give this place a 0 I would, I would definitely look to find rental elsewhere, please be aware there might be additional fees you were not informed about when you do the booking about $30 + per day because they will upscale you and they make it seem like it is not optional. The staff is unprofessional especially Liz she was so rude, no care for the client and did not care to explain things to the client she has very little patience when working with people when I asked to speak with manager she refused to give me his information and hung up on me, she said i needed to work thing out with her and not her manager, she was completely rude i cant event belive she is there working with clients .THE CAR you see online mostly is not the car you will get they give you what ever they have and it is not the picture you saw Please dont do business with them Liz should definitely not be working with customers .

The car I got was decent, dirty but decent, however they upsold me a separate insurance after buying insurance on the website, as well as I have been waiting over 3 weeks now for them to return my deposit after they told me it would only take 2 to 3 days to get it back, Ive called and no answer. Terrible experience. The staff in San Juan are really unprofessional and can t explain the exact information. They wanted to pay for refundable deposit in case you damage the car from inside the car, but they didn t refund the deposit and don t pick up the phone or answer the emails.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. 1. The car was absolutely disgusting. There was dried blood on the seats, sweat and deodorant stains smeared across the chairs, and the entire vehicle reeked of piss. It looked like it hadn t been cleaned in months, if ever. 2. The staff is completely incompetent and dishonest. They failed to provide any information on where to return the car after hours. When questioned, the employee admitted he didn t mention it because he assumed we would return the car during open hours. This information is critical not only did the employee not mention it, but it is not even on their paperwork or the contract that we signed. This oversight caused us to miss our early morning flight, forcing us to rebook expensive last-minute flights and arrange for an additional night at a hotel. The utter lack of professionalism and disregard for customers is astounding. Stay far away from this company if you value your time, money, and sanity.
