Charlie Car Rental in Carolina

I recently used Charlie Car (ACE) Rental and had a fantastic experience. The process was seamless, with no issues whatsoever. The service was impressively fast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making the whole experience even better. The only minor inconvenience is that the location isn't directly at the airport. However, this is easily mitigated by their efficient and fast shuttle service, which made the short trip hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend Charlie Car Rental for their excellent customer service and smooth operations!

Their shuttle's service is amazing, you don't have to wait more than 10 minutes. In their desk area just need a better coordination and communication. Cars are good, just need to work better on the cleaning. My car windows where full of stains, not detailed inside and have a awful smell on it

I had a great experience with Charlie Car Rental, Ashford Ave location. I showed up unannounced and rented for 1 day. I kept adding on every day cause there was so much to see! They simply deducted from my deductible on hold. I returned the car at the airport location, the remaining amount of my deductible was credited back to my credit card immediately and I was shuttled to the airport within 10 minutes. My total for 5 days was $165. My car was in kinda rough shape for a 2023 Corolla, but it was all I needed. I highly recommend. Great experience!

We arrived around 3am and the process was smooth. The shuttle service was amazing. The man was very welcoming and respectful. They gave us a beautiful rental. I made sure to call days ahead to make sure I understood any additional fees. They explained everything perfectly and had a lot of patience that way I understood everything. When we arrived everything was the same as what was explained over the phone. No surprise fees or anything. We will definitely be renting from them again!

Charlie Car Rental was amazing. Not only were they affordable but customer service was impeccable. When I arrived at the airport I contacted them, to make them aware of our arrival. So their shuttle could transport my family and I to their location to pickup our rental. The shuttle arrived promptly in less than 10 minutes. The friendly driver greeted us all and placed our bags on the shuttle van which can fit 13 people. We then arrived at the Rental spot in less than 10 minutes. We actually arrived 2 hours pass our scheduled pickup time due to airport issues with getting luggage. However, that didn't effect Charlie's Car Rental service. My Rental was still available. The gentlemen that assisted my family and I were amazing as well. They were attentive answered any questions that we had. Quick with getting us into our rental to begin our vacation. It was a newer vehicle a 2023 Hyundai SUV, spacious, amazing on gas and it drove beautifully. The return process was even quicker. I highly recommend Charlie's Car Rental the next time you're in Puerto Rico. My experience was with the Isla Verde location, they do have other locations. Safe travel!

Don't listen to the naysayers. As a travel professional, this company is solid and reputable. While the fleet is older, I paid 60% less by renting with Charlie. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable. The shuttle was effortless and a huge time saver. DO check your final printed receipt with the pre receipt you received when you took possession of the vehicle. They added a late fee even though it was brought in on time; when confronted with this, they immediately removed the superfluous charge. Overall, good, honest company.

The service at check in and return was outstanding and very professional, to include the shuttle service!! No complaints there... the car, although mechanically was overall good, it had a minor tire shake when driving above 50 MPH. On the other hand the conditions of the car left much to say. From dirty and stained interiors to bumper held together with screws was a little disappointing. I did not request another car because I had arrived late, was tired and had to make it to my destination. I informed the rep at returned and he was very nice and apologetic. Despite, these minor issues, it will not keep me from renting from Charlie's Rental in the future. Thank you!

Very smooth and painless process. I booked several months in advance after reading other good reviews. I'd much rather support a local business than a big corporation. The shuttle was waiting for us when we arrived, I presented my insurance declarations page at pick up and away we went. I had a 2023 KIA Rio for nine days, and it was the perfect way to fully explore the island. I would happily rent here again!
