The pick up desk was closed upon arrival, and none of the phone numbers are working. Our flight was to arrive at 23:30 and they closed 23:50, although we had pre-reserved the car. We had to take a taxi for EUR170 just to get to our hotel, and now still trying to get a hold of the desk. No one is picking up the phone and we are now spending our holiday trying to find out how and if we are going to get our rental car. A day worth of rental is already wasted and there is no information available, and we don't even know if we will get a refund. Probably not. Waste of time and energy for us, and completely lack of customer service towards paying customers.

Very helpful guy at the counter, and very quick turn around. The only issue is that a booking e-mail said pickup was at Alicante Train Station. Avis need to make sure customers are directed to Calle Carlet 2, for pickup, which is a street 5 minutes away.

Wonderful service and a huge thank you to the ladies who helped me at Alicante airport -both the main desk in the airport and at the car pick-up. I needed to get back to the UK for an emergency and would only have done so with their help, ingenuity and sorting me out a car immediately then and there. Provided more help and ideas than any airline or travel agent! Clean car with English sat nav which saved me in the chaos. They were so kind and efficient. Sadly I didn't get their names but great customer service and help.

The service from the lady at Alicante airport was exceptional, thank you. You (sorry I never got you name) organised us a last minute car for a week long trip, when it became tooo hot for us in Alicante, we could drive up the coast to a cooler region and leave the car at our last stop Girona, thank you, you made our Spain trip unforgettable.

Awful awful awful customer service. Their app is a disaster, you can't rent the same day in it. Then I tried to contact them to book by phone..IMPOSSIBLE to get someone, no contact number in Madrid, had to go through their 902 helpline and these THIEVES charged me 140 CHF(Swiss francs ,same amount in $) to keep me waiting for 20 min and no one picking the damn phone. 7$ a minute! Where have you seen that? NO one answers my emails, impossible to get any answer. CROOKS!

Do not use! Do not rent a car!! After 40 Min we finally had our car...after long waiting due to 1 colleague working (3 in the office) and after 1 computer crash during booking process. Then that guy gave me the key finally and didn't check the car with us. Officially the car had zero damages. But when returning the car big surprise: a small crack from previous booking (not me!!) in wheel cover is charged to me with nearly 200EUR!!! For ridiculous small car (Fiat Panda) costing 60EUR our total rental fee raised to 300EUR!!! Betrayer!!! Attention! Do not book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awful experience. I rented a car in August 2018 at Alicante Airport. They withdrawn the money again from my account a few weeks after I left Spain, although everything was paid when I returned the car and now in January 2019 they withdrawn another amount of money without my knowledge or information just because they had my card details. I had to deny the payments through the bank. I will never rent from them again!

My experience with car rental was not satisfactory at all. When I picked up the vehicle, I realized that the tires had very low pressure, just 1.3 bars, which generated a feeling of insecurity while driving. Furthermore, the car was dirty inside and out, with the windshield covered in dead mosquitoes, which in itself was not pleasant. The worst was when it started to rain during the trip and I realized that the windshield wipers were not working properly, leaving visibility very reduced and making driving quite uncomfortable and dangerous. I would definitely not rent a car from this company again under these conditions.

Mi experiencia con el alquiler del coche no fue para nada satisfactoria. Al recoger el vehiculo, me di cuenta de que las ruedas estaban con una presion muy baja, apenas a 1.3 bares, lo que generaba una sensacion de inseguridad durante la conduccion. Ademas, el coche estaba sucio por dentro y por fuera, con el parabrisas cubierto de mosquitos muertos, lo que ya de por si no era agradable. Lo peor fue cuando comenzo a llover durante el viaje y me di cuenta de que los limpiaparabrisas no funcionaban correctamente, dejando una visibilidad muy reducida y haciendo la conduccion bastante incomoda y peligrosa. Definitivamente, no volveria a alquilar un coche de esta empresa bajo estas condiciones.

Not recommended experience in this place. In the car reservation it did not appear that you had to adapt to office hours, nor that they have an office in one building and the cars in others. We arrived to pick up the car that the company had rented us at 12:45 p.m. at the building opposite, when we got to where the office was (very poorly indicated) at 12:49 p.m. there was a worker who did not want to give us the car. In a very bad way he offered to give us the car with a supplement of 50 plus VAT. Alleging that the office had a schedule and that he had been left dealing with the air conditioning because he was a human being. I rent cars regularly and I have never really had an experience as bad as this. Workers like these make us stop renting from these companies. Empathy 0, respect for the brand you work for 0, customer education 0. You remind me how lucky we are with our employees because with people like you we would have closed the company in less than a year.

Experiencia no recomendable en este lugar. En la reserva del coche no aparecia que tenias que adaptarte al horario de oficina, ni que tienen una oficina en un edificio y los coches en otros. Llegamos a recoger el coche que la empresa nos habia alquilado 12.45h al edificio de enfrente, al llegar a donde estaba la oficina ( muy mal indicado ) eran 12,49h habia un trabajador que no nos quiso entregar el coche. De muy malas formas nos ofrecia darnos el coche con un suplemento de 50 mas iva. Alegando que la oficina tenia un horario y que el se habia quedado haciendo gestiones con el aire acondicionado porque era un ser humano. Sueldo alquilar coches asiduamente y realmente nunca habia tenido una experiencia tan mala como esta. Trabajadores como estos hacen que dejemos de alquilar en estas companias. Empatia 0, respeto a la marca en la que trabaja 0, educacion con el cliente 0. Me recuerdas lo afortunada que somos con nuestros empleados porque con gente como tu habriamos cerrado la empresa en menos de un ano.

Service and workers Correct. My bad grade is due to their short office hours. They work until 1:00 p.m. and dont open again until 4:00 p.m. and in the afternoon they close at 6:45 p.m. On Saturdays only in the morning and on Sundays they dont even open... What a bad schedule for a city like Alicante. At least they could put a locker to collect the keys like there is in other cities...

Bad experience upon check in. They had no knowledge whatsoever about our reservation made through the budget website. When they recovered the reservation, they tried to charge us for some of the additional insurance that is free choice, luckily we looked at the reservation and had the excess reserved, but it was a moment of debate with the employee. Furthermore, it took us 1 hour to leave the office with the vehicle.
