I was extremely happy that I found Rios Rent a Car. Nicolas provided me with a great deal on renting a beautiful Mazda 3 touring in Cali Colombia. We maintained WhatsApp communication before arriving, he sent me everything I needed to know and requested the paperwork needed to rent the car, everything worked out easily and fast. The car was detailed, perfect condition everything working well, ice cold air conditioning (Very important in Cali) I loved the super dark tinted windows. Nicolas was on point at all times, advised about pico y placa, as well as cameras throughout the city...just don't run yellow lights! Nicolas was super helpful, accessible, and accommodating. I picked up the car late at night and him and his team kept the office open for me. I ended up returning the car super early before the actual day I was supposed to return it, Nicolas and his team again made it easy to accomplish that. I will rent from Rios Rent a Car in the future for sure. My experience was great and I fully recommend this company should you need to rent a car in Cali Colombia.

Very professional and reliable company. People were very gentle and patient. They also helped us make the trip a lot easier and relax. Other companies wait until 1 day prior your trip to confirm you reservation. Rios renta car had everything set with ahead of time. Very nice place to rent a car. Descontenta en su totalidad con el servicio me alquilan el vehiculo, despues vienen hasta mi casa para decir que no lo pueden alquilar por problemas internos de la compania. aparte de eso mi cupo de mi tarjeta no lo desbloquean hasta dentro de 5 dias. Que falta de profesionalismo. Muy mala logistica.
Completely dissatisfied with the service, they rented me the vehicle, then they came to my house to say that they could not rent it due to internal problems with the company. Apart from that, they don't unlock my space on my card for 5 days. What a lack of professionalism. Very bad logistics.
Very bad experience. The most unprofessional rental we had in our entire life. About 45 days after the end of our rental, we were contacted by the manager of the company, asking us to pay a fotomulta (automated radar fine for excess speed) of 120 euros he just received (for a 10 mph excess!). According to the Colombian regulation, a discount of 50% of the total amount is applied, if the payment is done within a week after the emission of the fine. When we told him that we wouldn't pay for the whole fine, he just cashed out our voucher. But, instead of taking the exact amount of the fine, he took the WHOLE AMOUNT OF the VOUCHER, WHICH IS 470 EUROS, WITHOUT TELLING US !!! We found out about it days later, through a random check of our bank account. And then, it was just nightmarish to recover what he owned us. We had to threaten him of penal pursuit to make him reimburse us. And after days of painful negotiation, he simply didn't know how to do a simple bank transfer of money ; he even asked us to open a Colombian bank account ! (He was on the contrary very competent to take the money from our account on the first hand). Finally, he managed to transfer us the money but he refused to pay for the bank fee. We had (again) to discuss with him until he agreed to pay half of it. CONCLUSION : a fine that should had cost us 60 euros was turned into a 210 euros' one, plus the pain of dealing with such an unprofessional dealer.
El ano pasado rente un carro automatico y me lo dieron fallando. Despues me lo cambiaron por uno mecanico y me toco buscar a un familiar que lo manejara por que no se manejar mecanico. Este ano ya habia pagado el deposito y hoy a un mes de mi viaje me llaman a cancelar la reserva porque no tienen carro. Que irresponsabilidad y que falta de seriedad. Pregunte por el dueno para manifestar mi inconformidad y que esta fuera del pais.

Then they changed it for a mechanical one and I had to find a family member to drive it because I don't know how to drive it mechanically. This year I had already paid the deposit and today, one month before my trip, they called me to cancel the reservation because they don't have a car. What irresponsibility and lack of seriousness.
