Came here on Monday at 16:30 or so, door is closed no-one is there, working hours that is declared on their door says they should be open till 20. We've been waiting for a while and had to leave
I've rented cars in many countries, from many providers, and it was never as easy and hassle-free as here. Wonderful service, easy pick up and drop off, good recommendations and overall great experience. Highly recommended. The lady (21.09, Joana?) helping us was very friendly and helpful!
Staff are great and Alvaro was amazing! Even gave us a personal list of his favourite places to visit and eat along the coast. Legend!
Staff is friendly, and the car I received in good condition. The way to get in and out of the parking is confusing and overwhelming, but they tried to simplify it for me. The one star is for two reasons: first, the prices they charge are exceptionally high. Second, and most importantly, I have been asking for my refund (no damage on the car) for more than a month, which I still have not received. In their responses, they reassure me that the refund will be issued, which is a total lie. Very stressful experience, and I would not recommend them.
Dreadful experience. We rented a car here Summer 2021 and had appalling treatment. We returned the car, checked it for damage, and found nothing. Sixt didn't bother to check the car themselves, just asked us where it was in the garage and took the keys. Then 2 months later we got a letter saying the car had been damaged by us and a random price given for repair costs (over 300 euros). We responded and complained that the damage could have happened anytime and also asked if it was their company policy to not check cars on return. No answer, and they just billed us for the repairs. We have rented from Sixt many time but this will be the last. Their customer service after the rental return was dreadful and I would not recommend anyone rent from this location.
We booked a car through the website (VW Polo), got an Opel Crossland instead. Car was ok. Didn't take additional insurance etc. Walked out, first thing I noticed was a big dent on the hood. Went back, they noted the damage. Level of English wasn't very impressive. Before returning, we refuelled the car at the gas station Google indicated was closest by (3km), until 'click' of the pump. Just got back home, and just received an invoice of 6 euros for fuel + 26 euros for refuelling. Rather strange. Would recommend anyone to take pictures & videos of range etc. before returning to prevent such surprises, or opt for another 'economy' brand such as Enterprise, service is probably the same, car hire will be cheaper. The 'premiumness' of Sixt you won't find here.
We were back within the grace period, the lady at the desk tells us it's fine to go get petrol, it'll save on the EUR25 fee, but then they booked the car in as being returned late after that and taken EUR55 without saying a word. Sneaky shower. Avoid and use a different company
It was our first time renting from Sixt, and our group of four couldn't have been happier with the experience. On pick-up and drop-off, the office staff were friendly and efficient, and handled all of our questions well. When we couldn't figure out how to set-up the in-dash GPS system (i.e. finding the English language setting), the agent came down into the garage with us to help. The drop-off was equally as good, taking under a minute.
