Very nice place. Fantastically clean and we had room service every day. The Internet is pretty flaky and frankly a bit rubbish but this did not cause any issues to be honest and it worked fine in the lounge at least. The breakfast was one of the best of our whole trip. Make sure you ask for the omelettes, they are beautiful. You don't have to have a car to stay at this place. We managed to walk okay down to Bermeo. You can get a taxi or bus back fairly close to the hotel. Beautiful views over the surrounding hills. If you like a good walk turn right out of the hotel and go to the top of the hill - it has amazing views.

We spent three nights in this charming hotel, which is very well kept and super clean. The staff is very service minded and helpful. When we arrived, the kitchen was closed and we were starving. However, the nice lady who was at the reception fixed some "cafe con leche" with pastries for us. Breakfast is very good and we particularly appreciated the fresh fruit and "jamon serrano". Dinner is more basic but still good.||The hotel beautifully located at the top of a mountain and has a fantastic view, and you can enjoy the sound of silence... unless you have tinnitus.||The place is a bit difficult to find with google maps. As reference you could use the restaurant called "Cannon", which is nearby and can be easily located by google. By the way, it has really good food and a wonderful view over the valley.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in May while touring the Basque country. It was superb! Friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Having a restaurant that serves Basque country dishes was also a plus because once you're up in the hills you don't want to look for a place to eat. Highly recommended!

Comfy, cosy hotel in the mountains with a terrific expansive view of the sea. Friendly staff with good English - they gave excellent advice on 'hidden-gem' day trips etc.. Free parking available - and you will need a vehicle as the hotel is secluded with a 30 min drive down through the mountains to the coast. I will definitely stay again if I am in the area.

The GPS using Here drive got us right to the front door. What a view over the valley. Very nice people work here. Dinner was good and very reasonable, breakfast buffet was really good lots of choices. Good beds nice clean room. Woud come back in a heartbeat. We had a room with a balcony on the side of the building. Listen to and watched the horses from our room.

The Atxurra hotel is located in the middle of nature in a privileged place surrounded by forests and green hills where it is even possible to see some animals nearby. The hotel is a unique, fairly large stone and wood building with beautiful decoration in which you can breathe a pleasant and very quiet atmosphere without any noise. The rooms are spacious with a very large king size bed, with comfortable pillows and a couple of armchairs as well as a desk. The rooms have a terrace from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the surroundings. The bathroom is also spacious with a bathtub and hair dryer. As for cleanliness, it must be said that both the room and the bathroom as well as the rest of the hotel were impeccable and everything was very clean. Breakfast is organized in shifts. It is a fairly complete buffet, both sweet and savory, Nespresso-type coffees with different types of milk, toast, fruit, fresh orange juice, eggs and various types of cold cuts and cheeses. Quality products and in sufficient quantity, and if something ran out or was missing, the girl would replace it right away. They do not serve dinners, although the hotel itself sells food and simple products that you can eat in the hotel dining room at night, such as pizzas, sandwiches and pre-cooked dishes. This way you no longer have to take the car to go to dinner since the closest restaurants are in Bermeo. The staffs attention was fantastic at all times. The girls who assisted us both at reception and in the dining room were excellent, attentive and very friendly, advising us on places to visit. The wifi works quite well both in the common areas of the hotel and in the room itself. In front of the hotel there is an open-air esplanade that serves as free parking. The hotel is located about ten minutes by car from Bermeo, 13 kilometers from the Urdaibai Natural Reserve and 20 kilometers from San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, two destinations that you cannot miss in Vizcaya. Atxurra is an excellent hotel with an excellent quality-price ratio, where you can relax and unwind or enjoy the area both for hiking and to visit the many towns and cities in the area with rich gastronomy and culture.

Las habitaciones son espaciosas con una cama muy amplia, tipo king size, con almohadas comodas y con un par de butacas ademas de una mesa de escritorio. Las habitaciones tienen terraza desde las que se disfruta de unas preciosas vistas del entorno. El bano, tambien, es amplio con banera y secador del pelo. En cuanto a la limpieza hay que decir que tanto la habitacion y el bano como el resto del hotel estaban impecables y todo muy limpio. El desayuno esta organizado por turnos. Es de tipo buffet bastante completo tanto de dulce como salado, cafes tipo Nespresso con distintos tipos de leche, tostadas, fruta, zumo de naranja natural, huevos y varios tipos de embutidos y quesos. Productos de calidad y en suficiente cantidad, ademas si se acababa o faltaba alguna cosa, la chica lo reponia enseguida. No dan cenas, aunque en el propio hotel venden comida y productos sencillos que puedes tomar en el comedor del hotel por la noche, como pizzas, sandwiches y platos precocinados. Asi ya no tienes que coger el coche para ir a cenar ya que los restaurantes mas cercanos estan en Bermeo. La atencion del personal fue fantastica en todo momento. Las chicas que nos atendieron tanto en recepcion como en el comedor fue excelente, atentas y muy amables, aconsejandonos sobre lugares a visitar. El wifi funciona bastante bien tanto por las zonas comunes del hotel como en la propia habitacion. Frente al hotel hay una explanada al aire libre que hace las veces de parking gratuito. El hotel se encuentra a unos diez minutos en coche de Bermeo, a 13 kilometros de la Reserva Natural de Urdaibai y a 20 kilometros de San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, dos destinos que no puedes perderte en Vizcaya. Atxurra es un excelente hotel con una excelente relacion calidad-precio, donde relajarse y desconectar o para disfrutar de la zona tanto para hacer senderismo como para acercarse a los muchas pueblos y ciudades de la zona con una rica gastronomia y cultura.
