Still no vegan options at the breakfast buffet despite telling me they'd try to accommodate for vegans after last year's stay. Took my own rice milk and vegan butter together with a tin of baked beans so all was good 8 the end
the staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were dated but adequate. the breakfast was a little disappointing as there was simply no choice for vegans so we brought a tin of beans and some vegan butter every day and heated them in the microwave. the location as excellent with private parking opposite the hotel.
From start to finish my stay at this hotel was a pleasure. The friendly welcome and helpfulness of the reception couldn't have been better on arrival and throughout. The restaurant had a very good selection of foods at both breakfast and lunch, the rooms clean, well equipped and serviced. The pools etc. were clean plenty of sun loungers etc provided.
We stayed here during benicassim festival and paid a pretty high price for what we got. We chose the hotel based on positive reviews from other people but when we arrived, the receptionist was frosty (and only one receptionist has acknowledged us when entering and been very pleasant). The room was a twin room and is rather dated. They give you a decent sized TV with a limited remote which meant no USB viewing for us, the beds are very basic and quite uncomfortable, bathroom is tiny but functional. To add to this, the maids clean at several different points of the day and at each point including the earliest, they are rather loud. There is a symphony of beds with metal legs being pushed over tiled floor from each direction (the soundproofing is not brilliant), and the carts are ridiculously loud despite having signs on them asking people to be quiet. I sleep with earplugs but was still woken up each morning by this. So the rooms could definitely do with an update considering the prices they charge and the 3 star rating. The next issue we had was breakfast, which looked brilliant in photos but was rather dull in reality. However, the eggs were nicely cooked so eggs and toast it was. Advertised on their board is a swimming pool, gym and spa. The swimming pool and gym (and also golf course) cost EUR5 per session which was definitely not disclosed before booking, and it was only by going through other reviews that we found the free swimming pool which is across the road. Compared to the rest of the facilities, the pool is luxurious. Very large, plenty of green space around it for sunbathing and a lovely temperature. They could do with a few more sunbeds but that's a minor issue for how nice it is. If someone from the hotel had mentioned its location, we would have been less annoyed with the paid for facilities at the time as it felt we were being cheated for having to pay for something we already paid through the nose for.
We have just return from our vacation spend in Benicassim at Intur Azor Hotel. We have arrive at 10:00 a.m. at the hotel and they give us the room immediately. ||I appreciate that the hotel is very clean ( they wash the floors each day in our room, also they are changing the towels each day ) ||In this period in the hotel are staying only old people ( more then 70% of person have over 70 years ) and for young couples that may be a not " nice view". ||The food was not so bad, they repeat the food for few days, ( fish each day ) sea fruits only one time. No variety for desert ( the offer fruits and some cookies, basic ones ).||The hotel area is quiet. The beach is very close, at 1 min of walking. Near is a market with very good prices ( food and drinks ). Also in the night are some restaurants where you can serve the dinner. The bus station is also close, but in Benicassim there is nothing to do .||Cleaning 8/10||Food 6.5 /10
Stayed here for a week with a large family group as we were attending a wedding in nearby Castellon. Excellent value for money, the breakfast is just superb, buffet style giving you the choice of full and continental, lovely pastries too. Bedrooms vary in size but most of our party had the bigger rooms. Rooms kept very clean. Lovely swimming pool, well maintained and plenty of sun loungers. Hotel location excellent, near the beach and the shops. Hope to come back again.
If you're staying for FIB then this hotel is excellent. It's right next to the beach and next to a big supermarket too, perfect for buying cheap food and alcohol! It's also right by the bus stop that takes you to the festival (30 min walk away) for 1 euro 50. Because it's on the beach there was loads of restaurants close by as well! Perfect spot||Great breakfast, meats, cheeses, tomatoes, breads, jams, butter, pastries, cereals, soya milk and normal milk, fresh fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices, eggs (boiled or fried), bacon, sausage- big choice! All included.||The rooms have balconies, air con, large bathroom, fridge, safe etc. Cleaned daily. Couldn't ask for more! ||Friendly reception staff who speak English||AMAZING private outdoor pool with life guard- we loved chilling by the pool!||Staff very helpful when key card lost and when we needed some ice for our drinks to take to our rooms||Would defiantly stay again and would definitely recommend it!!
Amazing Hotel. I stayed here after FIB last year. It is in an ideal location right on the beach. There are a lot of fantastic restaurants just a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend this for anyone going to FIB or even just for a nice holiday.
