Belmacar in Benalmadena

Got a traffic fine while renting the car (speeding). I received the traffic violation in the mail, paid it, but this company charged me an additional 35 euros. When I called to ask why, it's because needed to send that to me and that takes time work... It was in the fine print, so ok, but I would suggest not renting from them. I know I never will again. They are inexpensive, but... not worth it. (edit: As soon as I posted my review, they contacted me to say the 35 is what they do with foreigners because tracking them down when they live outside of Spain is a challenge. When they are in Spain its much easier, so they refunded me charge. Coincidence? Maybe. Changed from 1 to 3 star).

Very happy with the service of Belmacar. The owner even gave us a few nice tips for places to visit and roads to take. It was not a brand new car (Opel Corsa), but it drove well and the owner was very helpful, even to pickup the car in the evening. Would recommand!

The car reserved a day before occured to be damaged, scratched and dirty outside. Interior and child seats looked like it had a million kilometers run without any washing. Unfortunately, the owner forgot to mention this a day before. He had some normal looking cars on the parking, but didn't propose anything instead.

Totally satisfied with the price and service. It's a small place so you have to call or text ahead to make sure someone is around and they have a car available. Got great recommendations on things to do and places to go with the kids from Jose.

We hired cars and agreed to pick them up by 9.00 a.m . After several phone calls the staff arrived at 9.30. We had an appointment that we were late to due to this delay. As an excuse he said that he had offered us to get the cars the night before which was not true.

Great place to rent a car maybe the car wasn't new but working very good ,cheap price no extra charge one day we booked a car few days later we picked up the car no hassle, 5 min and every think was ready , person who working there gives us answers for any questions, where we can go and where we can park when we wanted go to Gibraltar. I can recommend

THIS IS THE WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF FINDING . . i was given a price of 300 euros a week , i explained my trip to the staff in the office which was Portugal seville then Benidorm , went to pick up the car the next day and said i have a long drive to Portugal and then he said that will cost extra 25 euros a day .i had to pay as i had no time to get a anther car ,i stayed in Portugal a extra day and they take 25 euros out of bank with out asking . i have had to cancel my bank card now, . then they said i went to the next province ,ie Benidorm . i had to pay 175 euros , i was in no position not to cancel as i had bookings hotels and trips . . i will get my money back as i always do .beware a lot of good reviews are fake on this site since I put my review I have seen a lot of the boss face book friends give 5 star reviewsx

Mr. Jose is an extremely helpful, honest and friendly person. It was a true pleasure to deal with him. He is very flexible when it comes to pickup and drop off as well as provides great hints on where to go and what to see. I rarely rate anything on Google but Belmacar is a well deserved recommendation. My best regards to Mr. Jose and I hope to drop by again in the future.
