Watch out for this rental company! A huge fraud among rental company employees who trick customers into paying compensation for previous damages. The complaints department does not respond to complaints. I rented a car on October 7, 2024 with damage that I photographed before picking it up. There was no one there when I dropped off the car, as I had a return flight early in the morning, and the car drop-off system is maintenance-free. I received an invoice for damages in the amount of EUR 350, which were already present when I picked up the car. I sent a complaint by e-mail with attached photos of the damage before collecting the rental car. To this day, no one has heard from the rental company's complaints department! I will refer the matter to lawyers
We were able to pick up the car 1/4 hour after the opening time due to the long delay of our plane. There were a lot of people in front of the office, but the 40 Euro after-closing fee was charged. We only received the key, but no one was there when it was handed over. Then and there, we couldn't complain because of the deep scratch (dent) that ran along the right side of the car. The next morning, we notified the office about this with a photo attachment. Answer came after 6 days. When returning the car, they didn't even look at it, but the fuel deposit was already returned. It is true that we had full insurance for the car. However, without this, we could have had problems, even though I did not cause the injury. Telephone and e-mail communication is not the strength of the rental company. In the end, my experience was positive, because we got a really great, almost new car at a very reasonable price.
We were a little bit nervous about renting with record go due to their bad reviews, however me and my sister (age 19 and 20), had a good experience. We rented the first week of September, and were given a new Toyota Yaris cross with only 15000km. The only issue we had was with the check-in process. The staff had us wait a while when they decided to help people from behind us in line?? Anyways it wasn't such a big deal, just adds to the stress of travelling. Check out was quick and easy. Overall, good smooth experience, and amazing car!!
Hired a car from Record Go Mallorca for 4 nights. I booked an Alfa Romeo Stelvio and this was the car I received. The waiting time on collection was about 20 minutes which was quite long, but the airport was busy. The car was a bit battered and bruised, and had 40,000km on it, so I suppose that can be expected, however, the car was nice to drive, and all damage had been recorded already by Record Go. Remember to always take a full walk around video of the car on collection. When returning the car, it was a 10 minute, smooth enough process. My fuel & damage deposit was returned to me within 2 days.
Absolute joke of a rental company. I rented a Toyota Yaris for 3 days from them. On receiving the car there was nobody from the company present to physically inspect the numerous damages with me. The car looked like it came straight out of an accident, it was that bad! Nevertheless, it was 12am and so I didn't want to go back to the office to dispute it. This is, especially after they switched my car already because they 'couldn't find' the car keys of the one I actually agreed to rent. It's also worth noting that they did this AFTER I informed them that I wouldn't be taking out separate insurance with them since VIP cars already provided me with basic insurance. Fast forward three days, and there was nobody there to receive the vehicle either. After landjng back in Eindhoven I received an invoice for EUR500 for damage to the frame of the inside of the door??? How is it possible to even damage that part mistakenly? This is definitely a scam rental agency that looks for any excuse to steal money from people.
I picked up a car at Mallorca airport earlier today. The cars are located in a very dark parking lot. I left and drove around a bit and the. parked it at a store and noticed a lot of damage on the car. And also the car is dirty inside. I'm very disappointed with this. It was my first time with Recordgo.. most probably my last.
We had for a week an almost new Toyota Yaris. We booked and payed the car online so the check in process was smooth. For the others who booked it on site it was a very long queue so I would not recommend. The car was almost new, still not very clean but I have no complaints. The return process was also smooth despite the fact I was struggling a bit finding the drop off area. We had to pay the full tank of petrol in advance, we were told that at return in case the tank will be full the amount will be refunded.
We've booked always at Record Go on Mallorca. Despite the rather complicated booking process at the counter, we never had any complaints and good cars as Record Go Members. This time was unfortunately very disappointing.Nor that our car had several damages and seemingly accidents before, which were not mentioned in the contract, moreover the car was not properly cleaned before the pick up! The Most disappointing was that the tank was only 3/4 filled up, despite we booked and already paid deposit for full/full. Not very professionell and next time we go with Sixt! Sorry.. UPDATE: we contacted the Customer Service at Record Go ...and got no response ;)!!!
