Most the good reviews are fake ! This company is full of liars and thieves. They try to scam the customers by accusing them of damaging cars or not filling the oil tank full, trying to charge expensive prices. If you are a tourist, especially international tourist, please be aware being exploited. Why are Spanish people this pathetic ?
The vehicle I received from Sixt was not fully fueled, I made a mistake for not informed them immediately. Before returning it, I discovered the reason--the fuel gauge still showed less than full even after I had completely filled the tank. I provided Sixt with before-and-after photos as evidence, but they responded by charging me for 6 liters of fuel and a service fee, without providing any evidence to support their claim. Additionally, the gas station I filled up at is only 4 km from the Sixt location. They are a cheater!!!! If you are looking for a rental car, please find another company.
Excellent customer service even if it took a long time. The car we rented was not available so they had to find another car. The eventually upgraded us but that car needed to be cleaner so we ended up waiting 30-40 minutes more. Even so, the staff was friendly and as speedy as they could be.
My experience with SIXT Rent a Car Barceloneta was good even a few issues happen with the rent but they did his best to resolve them.
Beware! This company is trying to charge me for "new damage" to the car after I dropped it off. They didn't inspect the car in my presence upon drop-off, and don't have my signature on their inspection report. Furthermore their cars are in a dark garage, so the car inspection at pick up time is very brief and not thorough, so superficial scratches could easily be missed. I don't recommend renting from this location.
Careful with this people. I paid a deposit of 500EUR that would be returned after 8 days according to what the people at the office told me. It's been 8 days and they just told me over the phone that this process can take up to 3 weeks. SIXT ARE LIARS AND SPECULATORS!!!
The car was fantastic, not a rattle not a single "but", in a word fantastic. The best part, though, is the service. So nice and professional, can't recommend it enough. Great experience. 10/10.
