We (couple) rented a car for one day. When we arrived at our destination (300km away from Barcelona) we noticed that the car was doing some really concerning sounds. Everytime turned the steering wheel there was a "cracking" noise. When we called the Port Cars Staff they couldn't help us due to their limited English competences. We decided to carefully and anxiously drive back to Barcelona because of the sounds!! We couldn't see everything we wanted to see that day and we didn't enjoy our day. Our only concern was to get safely back to Barcelona! When we arrived at the car rental shop the staff told us that they'd check the car the NEXT day and advised us to write an email for compensation. In the answer to our email the company implied negligence driving and told us the car would be checked in two weeks time (that would have been the 27th of August) I drove very carefully and correctly as I always do especially when I rent a car! We haven't heard back from them ever since, they didn't even answer our last email even though they promised to keep in touch. We advise against renting a car from this company! When the car is fine everything's probably good but when the car has a problem then you're lost.

It was my first time renting a car and i dont know spanish. I did not know what to expect or what the procedure is but the girl that is working there was so kind and was so helpful and was trying real hard to explane everything to us in english, every detail. We didnt have to wait for anything , we got our car on time when we wanted. It was a new skoda fabia. CLEAN inside and out. When we returned the car there was no problem with them , they did not try to scam us or anything like that. We got our deposit back. Great experience from start to finish. Next time when im in Barselona i will go back to them.

First time renting a car abroad and had the best experience with PortCars Barcelona! We were a little last minute and booked the car the night before on the website to go to Costa Brava. The car is hire is for 24 hours and it automatically comes with 100km included and you can purchase more 100km packages at the office for PS10 each. Any excess is EUR0.20/km. We purchased the premium insurance so had a deposit of EUR300 which we got back upon returning the car! I payed with Amex and it only took 2 days to get the money back (bank delays more than PortCar issues). The service was great and they really took the time to go over everything with me. We checked the car together and we highlighted marks in the car, milage, petrol to make sure it all matched the contract. All in all, it was a great experience with no issues! We got to travel around Costa brava for EUR80 or EUR40pp... great value for money ! Would be hiring back from them.

We came by spontaneously and wanted to rent a car. We were served in a very friendly and humorous manner. We were allowed to choose a car and everything went smoothly. The prices are also very good. highly recommended :)

Made the reservation online for a Skoda Fabia and the full insurance +12 EUR. The woman and the man in the reception were very polite and they completed the procedures and quickly brought me the car, a new car. I paid the deposit 300 EUR by card, and it returned again to me directly when I came back with the car. For me everything went smoothly. I recommend!
