Centauro Rent a Car Barcelona Sants in Barcelona

We booked a car through the website, chose the full option with no deposit. There was no waiting time and the stuff were quite helpful. The car was fairly new, everything went as planned. Overall we are quite satisfied, would definitely recommend.

Couple of reasons for this 1 star review: 1) We left our headphones in the car, when logging a ticket, they luckily confirmed to have found it, but couldn't send it. I had to pick it up. 4 months later I'm visiting Barcelona again, so I call the day before and the office confirms I can pick it up. When there, all of a sudden the headphones are gone, and we get an excuse: 'after 3 months we remove it'. Bizarre, this deadline was never mentioned to me. And we just wasted another hour of our time. 2) We spent more than 2 hours to pick up the car in July, there were just 10 people in front of me. It took them on average half hour to process each customer - incredible, it's 2024. Their keyless option is way over priced. They should fix their normal procedures. 3) And be careful: the pickup location is not at the airport, one has to take a shuttle bus.

I had a great experience with Centauro. We had come 2 hours earlier and we could not wait. The staff were friendly and gave us car immediately. Returning the car was very quickly too and after few days, we received the fuel deposit back. I highly recommended.

One of the worst car hire companies I have ever used. Google needs to add a "zero star option" in the reviews section! Pay close attention to every detail because, like many others, they will rip you off at the slightest trick. We rented the car in May for a weekend, when we picked up the car it was only 50% full. We directly sent an email to inform them of the problem and send proof of course. They charge you a full tank when you collect the keys to make sure that you return the car full too, so we didn't want to be fooled. So we returned the car with a similar amount of fuel, which seems quite normal, doesn't it? Of course we confirmed with the people at the agency that it was 'OK' when we returned the keys. Except that the full tank they took from us 'just in case' was never reimbursed at 100%. We contacted the support and send them proof that we had simply returned the car at the same level, and to prove to them that they were wrong and owed us money. But to no avail, in addition to replying once every 2 months, they persist in saying that they are right. We are in October and we're still trying to recuperate our money.

I have rented card with many different Centauro centres around Spain and Europe and never have I seen such inefficiency as the one at Barcelona Sants. The line to collect our car took over an hour to reach the desk and when we finally arrived, there was no automatic car waiting for us (despite reserving in advance). When finally a car was available after an hour and a half, we waited for another half an hour in the parking garage to receive the keys because there was no attendant. Normally I would absolutely recommend Centauro for their professionalism and service, but not this one. We've lost two hours of our day waiting around, save your time and money and use another company.

I was charged 70EUR for dropping off the car with 50mins late! Also, when I checked out they didn't inform me about the fact I was going to be charged that amount (I would have kept the car a day more if I knew, since I was paying a high price for that!). They just kept their car back with a smile on their face, and the following day they took the money from my deposit. I leave you to draw your own conclusion if it's worth to consider this company or go somewhere else. Also note: this charge is not related to any damage to the car, so even if you have a full insurance cover, they'll still find a way to steal your money in another way, and there is nothing you can do, because they have your deposit in their hands. So forget about peace of mind, no matter how much you pay. Luckily today there are so many alternatives out there for renting a car, just have a look on the web. These fraudulent companies are about to disappear soon! Good luck!

We had a fantastic experience with Centauro. The booking process was simple and quick. We had a bit of trouble finding a shuttle bus location. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and efficient, getting me on the road in no time. The car was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Returning the car was just as smooth. Within a few days, we received the fuel deposit refund and there were no attempts at fraud. Overall, excellent service and highly recommended!

We rented from Centauro at barcelona airport and to give a 5 star review is not enough! The car was extremly comfortable and was very fuel efficient. We drove around 500km and the car only used around 30e worth of petrol as it was a hybrid. Also the deposit for the fuel was refunded within 2 days!
