TopCar (Arrecife Port) in Arrecife

cheapest deal I could find - car was totally fine - had a late pickup and was dubious about pickup as I like to identify marks etc on car to someone just so its documented - my car had a few scuffs on it and had nobody to document it so I just took photos - I had to leave a EUR900 deposit which is a huge sting so was bricking it a bit. Deposit was an actual payment not a hold so again I was a bit dubious about this - anyways rest assured when I took this car back in the daylight I explained the marks, wasn't me etc - dude was totally chilled and ok'd the car for me, says its and older car, its not an issue at all - reception then explained refund of deposit would be processed next day and to my surprise this was refunded next day as told. Can't really fault it, huge deposit but cheap hire - best advice is maybe just stump up the EUR50 euro insurance they offer so you don't need to drop the huge deposit and don't carry the stress I did in case I lost the deposit.

Competitive prices but comes at a cost.. longest ever wait to the counter, if you are in a hurry recommend consider alternatives!

Arrived early this morning to Arrecife port on a cruise ship and had intended to book a car for hire for the day from TopCar. After reading the reviews on here though, we assumed it would be closed (being both Sunday and Christmas Eve!). However, we were very pleasantly surprised that it was open and got a good price for a hybrid fiat 500! The price included all fuel and all insurance, with no deposit either. All very efficient and friendly service by the chap in the office. Had a great day out exploring Lanzarote and simply needed to post the car keys back through the letter box after. Can recommend!

Docked on a Sunday, and all rental places were closed. The result was a very inferior day on a very beautiful island. I wish others better luck, and would certainly consider car rental if I visited again

Really annoyed and upset. Booked a car for collection at the Port of Arrecife. On arrival the office is unattended even though it shows as being open from 8am until 8pm. On calling their office was told the office was not open and we should go to the airport to collect the car. We are here for the day on a cruise, this is just not possible!! Really upset as Topcar have ruined our day in Arrecife and local businesses didn't get the opportunity of selling their products to us. Buyer beware!!!

Although we had a reservation only one operator was available with a big queue of people. The waiting time was more than 1 hour to get the car

Opening time is not correct, when I go there hire a car but the office is closed on Sunday. Ps:Thanks for reply, we are the cruise passengers came from different port Marcella, when we arrived even the port officer not let us to your office even we show our cruise ID, just tell us you are not open. Finally we want to leave, we need a taxi , but the officer not let us to call the taxi from the port...
