SIXT - Lanzarote Airport in Arrecife

Scammed never use again. Paid for full booking in full plus insurance thru booking .com then got to sixt said booking dot com insurance won't cover cost me 880 euros onto of 271 thru booking.com 500 was deposit. Said would be refunded after.

Incredible service. Fast, efficient, friendly, helpful. Fernando could not have been nicer. If you are served by Fernando then you're in good hands.

The team at Sixt in Lanzarote were exceptionally helpful and professional. We were offered an upgrade to a Mini Cooper which was great, and they even called us a taxi to take us to the ferry terminal. Highly recommended!

Booked a car online through Expedia payed PS170 and payed the insurance through them also I said that I was 20 years old when booking and when I arrived I was told I couldn't have a convertible but I could have the same can but with out a convertible roof because of my age and I was ok with that and I was expecting to pay a little bit more because I was a young driver and was expecting around PS100 but when I arrived we were slapped with around EUR700 in hidden fees and had not been told about this in advance we had to pay for another insurance that was EUR46 a day (EUR322 for 7 days) plus EUR125 for being a young driver and some other fees that I can not even remember what they were for the total price came out to EUR850 after already paying EUR170 we said there was no way we were prepared to pay all that extra money and that she will need to call a taxi as we had missed out hotel transfer at this point so that was an extra EUR50 I'm not sure who was a fault Expedia or Sixt but this was a nightmare for us. Luckily we have been refunded a few days later but it all seemed a little bit odd my dad has rented cars in nearly every country he's been to and never had to pay anything like that.

Super friendly staff, pick up from airport was great, didn't have to wait long for the buss to pick us up from meeting point. Girl at desk was only new but she was so professional and told us all the information we needed to know. Car condition like new

Like someone said, mixed feelings We arrived Sunday about 9pm. Just one assistant works, two customers group was before us, waiting time to be served was very long. Assistant herself was very friendly and helpful, car was OK. But... First of all we couldn't find who pick up from airport. When I try to call, no one answer and we took a taxi to get To SIXT. When we returned car, assistant said all good and deposit will be returned. But after few days when I checked my bank account I realised that they deducted 60EUR and don't know for what. I try to contact to them but no one answer phone and no any contact I could find. So I contacted to third pry company with who I booked a car. Still waiting explanation

The car company it's self is fine, however I have been trying to reach the specific rental for the past few weeks as they have not refunded my deposit. I was told it would take 7 days. Furthermore, when trying to contact Sixt, as I am not the main driver I cannot discuss any booking details which is fine. However I have my own card down on the deposit not the main drivers, which was permitted at the check in desk. Now once speaking to another member of staff on the phone, I have been made aware that it should not have been able to happen. As it is my name on the card and on the system for the deposit refund return and my money held within the deposit not the main drivers. I imagined that maybe that would have sufficed to ask about why it is not being returned to me 15 days later. Instead I was told that they cannot help me and refused to give me any information on when the deposit potentially may be returned. So I guess I'll just have to deal with being 300 pounds down for a 3 day car hire.

My rental experience with SIXT Alquiler de Coches | Aeropuerto Lanzarote was a truly enjoyable one. The communication a few days before the actual rental was superb! I have gotten a call if I had gotten the E-Mail with all instructions on how to get to the Station and if I needed anything, that I shouldn't hesitate to call them back. Once we were picked up by the SIXT Shuttle, the drive towards the station was about 5-7 Minutes. The Station was very clean and spacious. The rental sales agent greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome - he did a great job of explaining everything and was very polite throughout the process. The booked category was available and the offered Premium Vehicle (Audi A3) for an Upsell was a nice gesture, but for me personally not suitable for this short holiday. Nonetheless the whole experience felt very nice, respectful and as mentioned the rental sales agent was always very clear about all the details. If I had any questions, they were answered in a polite and transparent manner. The handover of the car was also a very pleasant one and for the 3 days - the KIA Rio was a very good companion! a BIG Thank you to the whole TEAM at SIXT Alquiler de Coches | Aeropuerto Lanzarote and till next time! :)
