We rented a car to be picked up at the Airport Cicar. The CarPlay didn't work, we asked for help, some guy came to see what was happening and was no helpful at all, he blamed it on the cable saying it was not original (it was) and said we should just be fine with using the car's gps he said we could go to Cicar Arrecife to see if they would change the car. We came and it turns out it is supposed to be closed (the airport guy obviously didn't have the intention of helping us in anyway), but the woman in charge didn't not only let us talk to her, she helped us and was SO kind. We will be renting again because of her, because the first experience was disappointing.

We made an online booking to collect a car from the cruise port and deliver it back. When we arrived both the cruise port office was closed as was the one on the Marina. Fortunately our Receptionist on our cruise ship spoke Spanish and was able to contact Customer Services. They sent a representative out who took us to the airport and a car was available there for us. When we finally were able to leave it had taken up about 2 hours of our time.

I had great experiences with Cicar at several other locations, but I was disappointed with this one. I looked up my confirmation email after reserving my rental car with Cicar in Arrecife for a vacation last month. In my confimation email, pick up location is listed as: "Arrecife." NO ADDRESS is given! Also no general description for the location was given (like "port" or "downtown"). Well, there are two locations for Cicar in Arrecife, and I didn't know that. So I took a rather pricey taxi and arrived at the wrong rental car location. The Arrecife port rental car location (which, please note is NOT THE SAME port as where cruise ships dock!) did not have any cars for me, since my reservation was for the other location. So then I had to wait for another taxi to take us to their other (downtown) location. The employee helped me call a taxi (given that my Spanish is poor). But 15 minutes later, no taxi had arrived. I requested again from the employee to assist with a taxi and he was rude and said there was nothing he could do. It was a lengthy delay for a short port visit. We did finally manage to make it to the downtown rental car location. Once there, they did not have an automatic, which is what I had reserved. I was given a manual. Honestly I think I should have received compensation for the lack of service and failure to deliver the car as promised, but no compensation was offered. I was quite disappointed. On the day of this misadventure, I thought I had maybe mixed up my car reservation locations... but actually they just DIDN'T PROVIDE the pick up address to me. So it was their fault, not mine.

I seldomly post reviews but I thought I had reserved an automatic car for 3 days and it turned out to be manual. Normally no issue except I am from the US and unfortunately, I can't drive manual (I should learn). I don't have everyone's name at the airport CICAR who helped but I believe his name was Naim and he helped out a ton and switched me over to an automatic and I enjoyed my time on the island. 100% will be using CICAR only whenever I come to canaries.

Never again. We were there by ship and unfortunately got the unfavorable berth. From there its just under an hours walk to the rental car station. We discovered by chance that there was a shuttle from Cicar. Many fellow travelers had also booked there. There was a real fight for the few available seats on the shuttle. After more than 2 hours we finally had our rental car. We would never book there again.

Nie wieder. Wir waren mit dem Schiff dort und haben leider den ungunstigen Liegeplatz erwischt. Von dort ist es zu Fuss knapp 1 Stunde bis zur Mietwagenstation. Wir haben durch Zufall dann mitbekommen, dass es einen Shuttle von Cicar gibt. Viele Mitreisende hatten ebenfalls dort gebucht. Um die wenigen verfugbaren Platze im Shuttle wurde regelrecht gekampft. Nach uber 2 Stunden hatten wir dann endlich unseren Mietwagen. Wir wurden dort nie wieder buchen.

Actually, I always thought very highly of Cicar. But this time as part of a cruise on the Mein Schiff 7 it was totally disorganized. I actually wanted to cancel the car. First we docked on the other side of the harbor. No information from Cicar as to whether the vehicle is there or whether a shuttle is offered. After a telephone conversation, we should take a taxi. It was too stupid for me. By chance we discovered a transfer van in front of the ship. Ok, one of them doesnt seem to know what youre doing. Total chaos at the station (three ships were there at the same time). get a car. For the purpose of handing it over, it was said that it could be handed in at the ship, keys in the drivers compartment and the door. Um, yes. Instead of until 2030, we had to park the car in 1700. The ship left at 11 p.m. and the vehicle was still standing next to all the others. First I didnt get any information, then it was stolen for 3 hours. So that was a straight 6 in information and organization. Now we hope that things are better on Tenerife and La Gomera.

Ok, scheint der eine vom anderen nichts zu wissen was Sie machen. An der Station totales Chaos (es lagen drei Schiffe gleichzeitig dort). Auto bekommen. Zwecks Abgabe hiess es, kann am Schiff abgeben, Schlussel in Fahrerraum und Tur zu. Ahm, ja. Anstatt bis 2030 mussten wir den Wagen 1700 abstellen. Schiff lag 23 Uhr ab und das Fahrzeug stand immer noch neben all den anderen. Erstmal keine Information bekommen, dann 3 Stunden geklaut. Also das war eine glatte 6 in Auskunft und Organisation. Nun hoffen wir, das es auf Teneriffa und La Gomera besser ist.

Really nothing to say in any respect: - no more expensive if under 25 years old. - we had a flat tire following a slow puncture, the car was replaced and even upgraded - ultra reasonable price. - we picked up the car around 1am and were able to bring it back around 4am. - no deposit They were great I highly recommend this company for your trips to the Canaries!!

We have been renting cars with them for a long time since we go to Lanzarote every 4 months, always without any problem until this last time, after two months with the reservation made, they made us wait more than an hour because they did not have the car ready. When they gave it to us it was not the characteristics of the one we had requested and it did not fit our suitcases. We tell the boy and he just calls us liars, with all his bad face he gives us another car. When we are going to leave we forget an object and when I call they tell me that they cant find it so I should send an email to customer service. Ive been sending emails for two days and no one responds... super disappointed. Terrible service

Llevamos mucho tiempo alquilando coches con ellos ya que cada 4 meses vamos a Lanzarote, siempre sin ningun problema hasta que esta ultima vez despues de dos meses con la reserva hecha nos hacen esperar mas de una hora porque no tenian el coche preparado. Cuando nos lo dan no era las caracteristicas del que habiamos pedido y no nos cabia la maletas. Se lo decimos al chico y poco mas nos trata de mentirosos, con toda su mala cara nos da otro coche. Terrible service. We had the car reservation booked for eleven oclock, seeing that it was eleven thirty and the car did not arrive, we called and the workers response was first that his colleague with the car was in a traffic jam and then he told me that even if he was in a traffic jam Im sure he arrived before twelve because that was the office closing time. Its the first time Ive heard that a traffic jam can fit into an office schedule . They didnt give us any solution, just these cheap excuses that only a two-year-old child would have believed.

We were on a cruise and had reserved a car for Arrecife with Cicar. Pick up time was 9 a.m. We got there on time and had to wait 2 hours. The documents were only filled out on site and the conditions were explained in detail to each person. We found this to be very customer-unfriendly.

We picked up our rental car today (October 1st, 2023) (at 3:30 p.m.) and were greeted in a very unfriendly manner. We booked a reboarder for our son, who had just turned 3, and the unfriendly employee said that a booster seat would be enough. But we insisted on getting the reboarder because we find it safer. He ended up getting one packaged up and telling us to install it ourselves. When asked to help us, the Lord simply said that if we want to use it, we have to do it ourselves. Wir bestanden aber darauf den Reboarder zu bekommen da wir ihn sicherer finden. Er holte dann schliesslich einen verpackt und wir sollten ihn selbst installieren. Auf die Bitte hin uns zu helfen, meinte der Herr nur, dass wir das alleine machen mussen, wenn wir ihn nutzen wollen. Dies taten wir dann vollig fassungslos danach stellten wir fest, dass wir einen fast leeren Tank im Auto hatten. Als wir auch das angesprochen haben, meinte er nur, dass wir 1/2 Tankfullung im Vertrag stehen haben. Das ja, aber fast leer? Wir sind echt fassungslos, da uns der Anbieter empfohlen wurde. Wir sind sehr enttauscht, da unser Urlaub daher sehr schlecht begonnen hat
