If I could give more stars I would! Terry our driver along with the rest of the Tamaran team who took my friend and I on a jeep excursion to the island of La Gomera were fantastic! Great value for money, lots to see and very informative. Great fun too, Terry has a wicked sense of humour and really enjoyed his job. We stopped for lunch at a lovely restaurant and also had plenty of stood for photo opportunities. We felt very well looked after from the moment we were picked up to being dropped off. Highly recommend this!
The driver had exellent English, was a great driver, felt very safe, knew the history and was very plesant to talk to. The trip was 8 hours, visited several spots around the island. Lunch was included.
Me and my boyfriend loved this trip. Special thanks to the lovely guide Vidal, he was super kind, we had a little emergency and he helped us with no hesitation. When we arrived at the meeting point Vidal contacted a portuguese guide to go with us since we are portuguese. We loved Bruno too (portuguese guide), super friendly and kind, making us feel at home. Huge congratulations to these both guides they are excellent, and made our experience even better. Cheers to them !!
GREAT jeep Gomera adventure worth its money. We had all: fast boat trip both ways, skilled jeep driver, adrenalin&safe off road sightseeing, scenic views from jeep itself and many points on that way.
Tour to Teide and Masca was nice. Our guide Neil was interesting and informative, generally a nice guy. We enjoyed 80s pop hits in the van. Good side of tour is that you save your nerves, car and time by visiting these places by yourself. Just someone driving you on these difficult roads and stopping at points is something valuable. Is 30 minutes enough to see particular place? Certainly not. Ideal would be 40 minutes but then I understand that drivers are people too and they want to squeeze into 9 to 5 working day. Lunch is good/average but still OK, nothing glamorous. Nice experience
Wow, this company is amazing! I booked less then 24 hours ago a Jeep safari tour, and it is for sure a 5 stars experience! The tour was "Teide and Masca Jeep tour". Immediately after the online booking I was called by someone who told me the place and time where my guide would have picked me up the next morning. This morning I met the driver, who spoke English italian French and Spanish, and he was super nice! The tour was very well scheduled, it comprised some stops along the way before arriving to Teide, that is the first real place you'll visit. Along the way the guide explains some key points in the language you chose (we were with the English people group), and they leave the time to walk or take some pics in the most significant places. There is also a one hour stop in a restaurant, where you can have a meal for 12 euros, and the quality is very good. After Teide you go directly to Masca: this city is worth seeing, cause it is a little treasure hidden in the mountains. In this case, you can see the ability of the drivers cause the streets to reach this place are very difficult to drive. Once there you can enjoy a wonderful view and there are some bars where you can have something ti drink/eat. After this last stop, the driver will leave you at your hotel. I'm conclusion, it's a wonderful day tour, and it is so worth the money. Such a good job and amazing day, thank you guys
Did the Gomera trip (18th April). Really excellent way to sample this small island in 1 day with guides/drivers who know the Island well. The rain forest area was particularly beautiful. I see some comments about quick driving, having driven hire cars on Tenerife many times I think it is just 'local style' - I did not feel unsafe even on some of the mountainous roads. The vehicles look well maintained, some almost new.
Tamaran Excursions 5 (album) We booked the full day excursion which takes you to Mount Teide, a place for lunch then onto the village of Masca. We were in a Defender 110 as part of a convoy of about 12 vehicles. Each one takes 6 passengers, one up front, three in he middle and two in he back. You are designated a land rover with a guide that speaks your language where possible. All the guides could speak excellent English from my contact with them and were friendly and helpful throughout. By lunchtime I thought I should have just booked the half day excursion as after Mount Teide I thought the afternoon may be a little boring. Thankfully I was wrong and was happy that we did do the full day as the visit to the village was great. The Landrovers wind their way round small mountain roads with spectacular views on the way to and from Masca. There are a number of stops for photo opportunities and to get a drink or snack at cafes. Children who get car sick would find this a long day as by the nature if the route (even though it is all on road) and being in a defender there is a fair bit of bouncing around to contend with. All in all we really enjoyed this trip and would definitely recommend it to others.
