CICAR Los Cristianos in Arona

Booked CICAR with about 48hrs notice. Opted for an automatic hatchback. Initially we struggled to find the office, but I think that was our own fault. I called the office and the guy I spoke to was helpful in guiding us to the correct location (it is inside the ferry terminal, something we didn't know existed!) We were given an Opal Corsa automatic. There were some existing bumps and scrapes on it, so I took photos of this for my own piece of mind prior to leaving. Car worked great and we had a good day out. Returned the car at the end of the day and the guy asked if we had refueled it, I got a copy of the receipt from 20 minutes before, and he refunded the fuel deposit immediately. Nobody checked the car for damage after we used it, however thankfully we didn't add to it! Very smooth process overall and good customer service. I would definitely recommend using CICAR

Good experience. Car is fully insured, you do not have to worry about anything. The process of handing the car was smooth and easy. You can opt to receive the car at your hotel.

Very easy to book on the website (no credit card needed), very easy to get the car from the location. If there is fuel in the tank you have to pay for it and they give you the money back when you return the car, if you let the same amount of fuel in it. My only 'problem' was that I booked a smaller model, automatic gearshift and they gave me a bigger model which I would have avoided since some roads on the island are very narrow. It would be nice if they inform you about this in advance, but it worked out well for us even so. Don't worry if the car has scratches or other visible damages, I lost time taking photos of mine at the beginning and no one cared to verify it when I returned it. For sure I would book from them again if I return to Tenerife.

Used these guys for the first time for a short term rental. Great service. Very easy to deal with and pick up/drop off was super easy unlike most of the global rental firms. Very fair price too. Highly recommended and would most definitely use again. Very good.

10/10. Hire car company the opposite of every hire car company I've experienced. No credit card down when reserving online. Full insurance default, no excess. Full flexibility, can bring back early and they pay the difference, and likewise to extend. Drop off different place to pickup at no extra cost. Quick pickup and drop off. Very cheap. 6 days for a Fiat 500 for 149e

I rented a car from CICAR twice during my stay on Tenerife and I was very satisfied with the service. The staff was friendly and helpful and the car was in good condition. The rental process was quick and easy and I didn't have to wait long to pick up the car. The prices were reasonable and there were no hidden fees or charges. I would definitely recommend this car rental company to anyone visiting Tenerife.

Fantastic service. We booked the car online with a car seat for child. No fuss collecting the keys and no upselling on insurance, all is included. Collected the car full and returned it the same way. No problems with the car for the duration of the rental. We paid a deposit for the fuel, if we didn't return the car full and that was refunded with no fuss. Next time we are back in the canaries, this is the only company I will be looking at.

2nd time we rented at CICAR. Earlier this year on Gran Canaria / Playa del Ingles now on Tenerife. Rented a Seat Ibiza but got a Peugeot 3008. Bigger car, would normally cost more but of course the upgrade is free of charge. The office is inside the harbor terminal building. Cars are at the parking lot which is probably a 200 meter walk. What can I say? Nice car, clean car. Had some scratches and dents here and there but that is what you can expect with a rental car. The only downside was that the fuel tank was perhaps at 10% so I had to go and fill her up before we could start our trip. You can return it the same way you took it from CICAR but would be nice if there was at least half a tank left. If you go to Tenerife be sure to rent a car and visit Teide National Park. It is amazing. Also visit the same National Park at night if you are a stargazer. 3rd best place in the world to watch stars.
