Do not hire from Samoana Rentals We hired a van in May 2024. After 2 days of use we had issues with the breaks playing up and it was unsafe for my family so they told us to bring it next day. We got a new van the next day. After 15 days of using the van we had an unfortunate occurence. We were driving on our way to Apia Airbnb during steep decent where the van breaks failed and this time we weren't so lucky. After many attempts of pumping the breaks, pulling breaks slowly did nothing, an other cars opposite not knowing issue with our van. My sister driving had to do a turn to avoid crashing head to head with another car. Our van slid, flipped on its side and it rolled twice. We were all injured and luckily no one died. My younger sister and cousin was seriously injured. I thank God for watching us and protecting circumstance could have been a lot worst. I am very angry with Samoana for not taking responsibility and providing unsafe vehicles. People pay a lot of money, why don't you provide vehicles that should be safe on the roads and knowing samoa roads are not great. Wished there was thorough investigation, and of course it's Samoa, don't expect too much. Can never forget what we weren't through and definetly would never be the same going to Samoa.

Thank you Samoana Rental Cars for your awesome service. Highly praised and recommended by family that travelled 7 years ago and last year, and now we too would highly recommend them as well. Rented 2 X 8 Seaters and 1 x 4 wheel drive for 18 days and found that their service from beginning to the end was so professional and their staff were friendly as well. The 4x4 originally booked was not available, so instead they upgraded us to their latest release for the same price. All vehicles were clean. Just a few hiccups with the 8 Seaters which was easily fixed, but all in all 10/10. Thank you Samoana Rentals Staff for looking after us and making the process easy for me.

Had a great experience. Shout out to Giuseppe! He took good care of us. We booked a car on a Sunday and were so lucky to score the last car available! It is very difficult to find anything open on a Sunday and apparently they are one of the very few that are open on Sundays! Our car actually started to break down when we were on Savai'i Island. We called Giuseppe to let him know. He got our car replaced within a few hours! How amazing is that? Thank you! Great company and would def rent from them again. Love from Australia

AVOID AVOID AVOID! My husband booked in person to confirm the car we wanted would be available (Toyota Prado), as we are a family of 6 and needed also space for luggage. The vans are small & don't drive well in Samoa. So having now booked in person 4 weeks in advance, every single week before myself arriving with our children, my husband stopped in to check everything was still booked and ok etc. The day before he was due to pickup, he stopped in again and checked, it was all fine. The day of pickup, he gets there and is told the car is unavailable now as they gave it out to someone else yesterday. They unwillingly went and collected that car within the hour for my husband, rushed him through the pickup process and off he went. Upon collecting me and the kids from the airport, we noticed 1 handle was broken but still working/functioning so didn't bother to go back in to change the car after the hassle it was to get it in the first place so took photos with time stamps to show the damage that was clearly already there but missed during the initial collection. Upon drop off, our airport drop off was for an 8am drop off, we were there at 7.30am (another couple were waiting to drop their car off too) and no one showed, it got to a little over 8am and still no one, we had to check in for our flight so took a video of the car and condition, told the other rental agency next door about it and sent an email to Samoana about leaving the car in front of their office and where to locate the keys, and that we would send someone in to collect our cash bond. 2 days later, we get a response acknowledging my email and that they would link their reservations team in about the bond collection. The next day my father in law goes in and they are trying to sting him with costs for ALL THE DOORS BROKEN OFF COMPLETELY yet were conveniently all fixed now. Why would I bother to email about dropping the car off and expecting a bond to then send my elderly father in law in to collect a duly owed cash bond if I knowingly caused damage to their car. It makes no sense their logic. They were sent our proof that the doors were all in tact at drop off (that they didn't show up for) and yet refused to show any proof of all doors being broken off?. All this hassle for a lousy $500tala bond they wanted to keep. I felt bad sending my elderly father in law in and having to deal with these dishonest scam artists. I am deeply embarrassed that this business sets the tone for what other clients could expect from a local Samoan business.

We hired 3 vans for them. One of our vans had a hole by the pedals. Another one kept breaking down. We then had to taxi to them to pick up another one, then when they had "repaired" the original van we had, it was on us again to taxi back to them to pick up the van again. Do not recommend hiring from them.

Lower your expectations as you get what you pay for. Rented for this company twice the first time in November 2022. Cockroaches in car and was sprayed after a couple had come out to visit while driving. Once sprayed, there were over 50 dead roaches that we had cleaned up. June 2023 rented another car from these guys as we had a credit for the roaches. Car was fine throughout our 2.5 week stay. Last day, got a flat tyre and had to pay for a taxi to get to the airport..... because we could not change the tyre due to not having the proper equipment. Will not rent for this company again.
