Budget in Almeria

Pesimo, son unos estafadores. Reserve a traves de su propia app y en ningun momento me salia la opcion de meter un seguro. Aun asi fui a informarme una semana antes a la misma oficina que recogia el coche y no me informaron de nada de eso. Hoy cuando voy a recoger el coche me piden casi 600EUR por un el seguro, le pido que me cancenlen la reserva y no se han dignado ni a ayudarme, he tenido que llamar por telefono para hablar con una maquina que encima me cuenta el dinero. En resumen ESTAFADORES

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET OR AVIS IN SPAIN! My rental reservation on line was $109 total for 2 days. When I got to the counter to pick up my car the insurance was 220EUR on top of the rental. The woman said if I didn't take the insurance if anything happened I would have to pay for the entire car! I had rented a car from Hertz in Valencia also for 2 days the month before & the full insurance was only 60EUR total for 2 days. Rent from Hertz!

Alquile el coche en Malaga con devolucion en "Almeria Airport" a las 8 AM. Al llegar al aeropuerto me entero que la oficina estaba fuera del mismo. La oficina abre 8:30 y no llevaba a volver antes del boarding. Considero que si contrato un alquiler con devolucion fuera de horario de oficina y fuera del lugar indicado como lugar de devolucion un buen servicio incluiria ponerme en aviso para evitar problema. Tuve que dejar el auto en el aeropuerto. Al llamar a la oficina luego del horario de Pereira me indicaron me corresponde una multa de 25 euros y sin pedir disculpas me dijeron que se podia devolver fuera de horario y luego me debia tomar un taxi a mi costo... un verdadero desastre el servicio.

The lady in the office was very friendly and helpful, can't complain about the service. BUT the process with money is horrible. After days I am still waiting for my deposit to return. You confirmed me that the car is alright and that everything is fine.So why do you sit on my money? I expect a return asap.

I had called Budget to inform them that my flight number had changed. They confirmed that they had changed my flight number in my file. But upon arrival at the desk there was nothing to be found. The result was that the shuttle bus did not pick us up at Almeria airport and we had to take a taxi. (14.20EUR) I called the Spanish phone number written on my confirmation twice but no one answered although a tape said it was Avis Almeria. On site for health reasons I wanted to change the main driver, but they refused, claiming that was not possible, only possible via second driver. (Cost 44EUR for 4 days) I consider this extra cost for a second driver not acceptable if we only need one driver. You should know that I had done the digital checkin to save time, as requested by Budget. But apparently also not in my file so at the desk they had to complete it all over again. So I had to pay the taxi , I had to pay for an unnecesary second driver and I lost a lot of time. No, I'm not satisfied at all.

It was not a great experience. Budget does not have an office at the airport. We had to ask for help to an airport employee to call them to pick us up for transportation to their office. This took like 15 minutes walking around with the luggage below Almeria's sun... Picking up the car took away too long, although the staff was very friendly, they made their speech trying to sell a rental for a more expensive car and an even more expensive insurance. All this when I had a clear reservation of what I wanted and paid for. So, I do not recommend it.
