Centauro in Alicante

Can confirm the same experience as many other reviews. They try to scare you into buying expensive insurance (although I was covered for this separately) and all but threaten you if you don't. They invented a damage upon return and charged my card. Never again

I always thought that cheaper is to rent a car in advance, but not at this time! We randomly rented a car for one day. The service was very smooth, girl at reception was friendly and she explained all the rules very clearly. The car for one day cost us 84EUR, +deposit for the gas (aprox.120), in case we won't fill it to the fool tank. The best decision, we visited so many beautiful places that day! We appreciate the service, thank you!

Be aware! Know I know how they can offer this cheap prices. I picked up the rental car while it was dark. Walked around it with a flashlight and found several scratches and mark, not listed in the report I received via email from this company. I informed the staff immediately about it and was told if I made pics of them before I leave the companies area it will be fine. The car was a good car, really happy with it and the price for it for two weeks was really cheap - for a reason. When I brought back the car the guy investigated the car like a doctor. He asked me about every little scratch, but I showed the pics I made at the pick up. Then he found a scratch at the wheel rim, see the pic. For this he wanted to write a damage report. He told me Do You Spain will cover it with the insurance. They kept my deposit of 1150 EUR. One month no feedback from them, than I got the damage report - 1397,50 EUR !!! For repairing a scratch on one wheel rim!!! That's fraud! I am sure they won't let it repaired like the other issues, just take the money. Now I am in charge to clarify this with Do Youi Spain. Cost me time and nerves. If you really want to choose this company, be aware of it. Make pictures of everything. For me it is the last time with these suspected criminals.

When I paid online, the receipt indicated that I have to pay another amount when I arrive at the desk (apart from the regular gas deposit). In the end I had to pay double of what was stated that I am reserving the car for. I am very disappointed as until now I had a very good experience with this company, renting for as long as a month always getting great deals and practically new cars (with upgrades to bigger cars ). I was thinking of subscribing (renting for a year) but after this and reading all the reviews of bad practice, not coming back.

I have always been a loyal customer of Centauro however on a recent rental i was forced to pay 350 euro for a Parcel shelf from a rental of a Peugeot van that did not have a parcel shelf included! Nothing was raised when the vehicle was returned and i only found out about this fraudulent charge when i was next collecting a car. Customer services have not responded to my claim via the website. Poor service DO NOT USE! Customer services have not responded to my online complaint either! Terrible service!

Great attention! We booked through their official website and everything was easy from there onwards. If you return the car with a full tank they reimburse you, that only took like two days. The car was in great condition and VERY clean and their prices are very competitive!Very recommended!

I found Centauro to be a great car rental option for my trip to Spain. I booked the premium option via the website which was a great price and included insurance with no hidden fees or extra deposit that other rental companies often charge, and it included an extra driver name for free! You pay for a full tank of fuel on collection and on return are refunded for the fuel you don't use...if you return with a full tank you get a full refund - simple! The refund was in my account within a few days. The car was great too, in perfect condition and very clean. The smart key collection was so quick and simple, and service desk staff were very friendly and helpful too. Ignore the negative reviews and give Centauro a try!

ER24259078 Be careful, scammers! they didn't return the deposit price of 200 EUR, I rented the car for 3 days, only used it for 2 days, I drove from the airport to the hotel, then the car sat there for a day and on the 3rd day I returned the car, I drove only 100 km, before returning it I stopped by and filled the tank full of fuel , but this company decided not to give the money! swindlers
