The office and cars are on the first level of the parking lot, where the other rent-a-cars are also located. The employees are friendly, but the person who calls the day before about the contract and sends you the contract by email is a bit confusing. He speaks a little unintelligibly and tries to sell you some services that you might not want, so be careful. The rest was fine.
SCAMMERS - all of their hire cars conveniently have scratches underneath the bumper. The rudest woman I have ever encountered went straight to the area and within seconds told us there'd be a charge of over PS400 - how she obtained this quote so quickly is convenient. We know this scratch wasn't caused by us - this is a scam. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I will be reporting to the relevant authorities.
Very happy with the service and the quality of the car. The return was unproblematic quick. I will use them again.
Rented a car for 4 days. Had a late flight and there were a couple of staff available when I arrived so I was served right away by a very friendly staff member. From arrival to walking away with keys only took a few mins. There was no hard sell on additional insurance. I was even given the choice of 2 cars, something I always like. Returning the car was effortless , just dropped it back to the return bays and staff member was out immediacy, quick once over and i signed it back. Would use again.
From start to finish it was a dream to deal with Budget. Only problem was finding a petrol station before dropping car off, there had been an accident on the main road. But it was only an extra EUR40 refuel charge.
It was ok for me. The car had Apple CarPlay, nice touch. I had to pay for the car and the gas (because i did not refill, normal price - quite comfortable if you are in a hurry). 116EUR for 4 days - mini car.
I do not recomand at all. At the begginning of August i made a rental for 3 days in Alicante Airport, it's end of Septmeber and i still didn't receive my deposit back. With no other notification. I made a complain and they said i have to wait 28 days, after 28 days still i don't receive my money back, about 300 euro. Their phone numer doesn' t work and i can't cotactat them for more details. I will never book from Budget ever again!
*Maybe avoid Budget Car Rental for a while* After many good experiences with Budget Car Rental, our last time at Alicante Airport was a let down. We had to wait in line for more than an hour in the parking garage (they don't do the paperwork in de arrivals hall anymore) before we got our car, but that was not the worst part. Upon returning the car the employee asked me to sign for the bill. The amount we had to pay was a lot higher than the price that I had booked the car for, which came as a surprise to me. The employee (very friendly by the way) asked me to check the contract that was sent to me by e-mail before. The contract said I had booked road assistence, of which I was unaware. When we picked up the car, we had told the employee at the desk (a lot less friendly than the other one) that we didn't want any extras or insurances, so we trusted there wouldn't be any of those things in our contract. Why hadn't I seen this when I signed the contract? Because it was shown on a tablet, controlled by the employee (she did the scrolling) and I had to sign it on the tablet as well. Probably the long wait in the parking garage had something to do with it as well. We just wanted to get out of there. I filed a complaint at the Dutch office and they responded fairly reasonable: I got back half of the extra costs. Nonetheless I wouldn't rent a car from Budget anytime soon. The way they put things that you haven't asked for in the contract smells too much like a scam. It's a shame really, because the car was great and as I said, we always had good experiences before. Tip: don't sign contracts on tablets! Ask them to print it on paper. And if they don't, then take a very long time to read the entire contract on the tablet.
