Ya he llamado mil veces, no cogen el telefono. Me aseguraron que me devolverian el dinero en menos de 3 dias ya van casi 10 dias y el dinero retenido en mi cuenta! El banco dice que siempre hay problemas con esta empresa. Exijo una solucion ya!

Horrible service renting from Hertz Madrid/Algeciras. I had rented from madrid and returned the car at algeciras. Was suppose to pay only 204.64 euro and when i returned the car no one was at drop off so i was forced to leave keys in the drop off box. Tank was returned full and to my surprise i was billed 782 euros with all sorts of charges without any explaination i have emailed its been a couple of weeks already and as expected no response. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!

I had a really good experience here. I booked a car twice with "thrifty" which is also included in this Car rental station. The woman on the counter was super helpful even with not the best English. I also called them during my rental and they were again really helpful. I've got both of my deposits after 10-ish days back, which is fine.

Made a booking online. On the day of the rental I went all the way by bus from Tarifa to Algeciras to be told by an unsympathetic employee that my name has a "do no rent" status in Hertz back office. The employee couldn't tell me more and refused to help me calling the customer support in Spanish although I don't speak a word. She literally chased me out of the office. Hertz -> why allowing people to book when they have for an unknown reason a "do not rent status" in your system? Never ever will I book with this horrible company. I'm anyway not allowed to do it ;)

Unfortunately, 1 star for lack of cooperation and willingness to solve the problem. We got a car in which the air conditioning did not work. As we know, its the customers fault that we got such a car. We picked up the car at 1:40 p.m. Siesta started at 2 p.m. and we had to wait until 5 p.m. for the rental shop to open. The lady replaced the car with a new one but was unable to explain to us why she could not change the cars return hours if she replaced it with a new one and confirmed that the car did not have air conditioning. This is a really small thing. Not to mention a discount that will compensate you for waiting over 4 hours for the showroom to open and pick up your new car. Embarrassing service, no way to contact the manager, and the lady serving Maria didnt even want to give her name. This proves that he admits to mistreating the customer, unwillingness to solve the problem and lack of service culture. Its a pity that we didnt find the lady who gave us the car because it was a completely different level and quality of customer service. I think she would have solved the problem more diplomatically.

The cars are clean and in good condition, the service is good. I put 2 stars because I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned after 1 month. I had to re-rent a car and I couldnt, because at the agency I was told that I would have to be charged an additional deposit. Normally the deposit money must be returned within 7 working days, customer service (which takes forever to respond), recognizes this but tries to blame the bank which is ridiculous, no bank takes 1 month to process a payment intra-EU. Besides, customer service did nothing other than send me a response template reserved for this type of case. It is easy for you Hertz to avoid disturbing your customers, make the reimbursement immediately with your banking device present in the agency as other agencies do. but you dont. Edit1: After more than a month I have not been reimbursed and have started proceedings with the consumer protection service and I encourage those who have this to do the same. Edit2: I was able to get my deposit back before having to take steps with the consumer protection department, not because Hertz gave it back to me spontaneously but because I asked my bank to request a re-invoicing, the refund was received immediately.

Dailleurs le service client na rien fait dautre que de menvoyer une reponse template reservee pour ce genre de cas. Il est facile pour vous Hertz deviter de perturber vos clients, effectuez le remboursement tout de suite avec votre dispositif bancaire present en agence comme dautres agences le font. mais vous ne le faites pas. Edit1: Apres plus dun mois je nai pas ete remboursee et ai demarre des demarches avec le service de protection des consommateurs et jencourage ceux a qui cela arrive de faire pareil. Edit2: jai pu recuperer ma caution avant de devoir faire les demarches avec le service de protection des consommateurs, pas parce que Hertz me la rendue spontanement mais parce que jai demande a ma banque de faire une demande de refacturation, le remboursement est tombe immediatement.

Hoy he hablado con mi banco y efectivamente me confirman que no son ellos quienes tienen mi dinero retenido si no Hertz y que me lo van a tener retenido hasta el 2 de agosto, cuando llegue esa fecha habran pasado dos meses desde que alquile y entregue el coche. Por que hacen eso?? Juegan con nuestro dinero? Tengo claro que no volvere a alquilar un coche con esta compania. Para mi tienen un 0. Actualizo la resena a 20/08/2024 Casi al mes d haber entregado el coche d alquiler d esta compania me fui d nuevo a hablar con mi banco y la muchacha q me atendio me dijo q iba a enviar un correo a VISA para saber lo d la retencion del dinero (ya sabiamos q era Hertz) y ver si ellos podian desbloquear el dinero y la respuesta fue q era como si yo hubiera robado el vehiculo y por eso Hertz no lo desbloqueaba q para poderlo hacer VISA tenia q presentar un justificante de haber entregado el vehiculo y como tenia ese justificante al entregarlo en menos d una hora ya tenia mi dinero desbloqueado. Asi q si a alguien le ocurre algo parecido ya sabe q tiene q hacer

Me hicieron esperar unos cuarenta y cinco minutos en la puerta (llegue a las 1240h) y aunque el horario de atencion es de 0900h a 1400h no habia nadie. Llegando y abriendo la oficina sobre las 1325h. Por olvido tuve que salir corriendo a llevar el tanque para que no me cobraran la franquicia de unos 250 Euros por politica de empresa (finalmente gaste 35 euros y otros 25 minutos mas de mi tiempo). Experiencia alquilando coche en Gertz Algeciras, muy mala. Politicas de empresa dictatoriales del siglo pasado y la atencion personal muy negativa (parecia que me estaban haciendo un favor). Sera mi ultima opcion, la proxima vez, de no tener mas remedio de volver.
