Giving 1 star because i cant give 0 They send us to the wrong location in the train station .for pick up we were lost for 2-3 hours trying to find the office Never find it and the closed their office at 1pm on a Saturday to only open on monday Thanks for ruining our weekend in spain . Disgusting company dont rent from them
The address for the pick up point for Europcar is incorrect--it is NOT at Mitsubishi-Algeciras, but rather down the road (and across the highway) at the Europcar office. We had taken a taxi and it dropped us at the listed location. Thankfully we travel light and walking to the correct location (that had a huge banner outside else we would have missed it since the actual office isn't visible from the road). Wrong location aside, the pickup and drop off experience was excellent and the little car we got was clean and fun. Big bonus that Europcar didn't charge a huge one-way fee like everyone else!
Had big issues finding the place. Voucher had the wrong address, official website had the wrong address and the emergency hotline gave us the wrong address. Also the gasoline was not 100% topped up when they handed over the car, but we were expected to hand back with full tank. Wasted hours on this, abysmal service. It turned out they moved to the north of Algeciras close to the Red Cross.
I had the car scheduled for pick up at 09:30 and had to wait at least 45 min to get a car. The lady there, she at first proposed an automatic car and then changed her mind. The hired car has a 800 km until oil service. The car is dirty inside with a lot stains on the seats. When approaching the lady at the counter she says she doesn't have a car to change. Very bad service. If you have a chance to choose another car hire instead. On to the car smells with some rotten yogurt or something. Very bad. When I asked to change the car because of all the above, she told me to go to Malaga to change.
Worst car rental experience. I've paid 534$ online but they wanted to charge different amount. The excuse was that system is offline. They do not speak any language . Lady in the office is rude and visibly not smart . Another customer I met there told me they charged her credit card twice few months after rental. She came to complain and get a refund of 2000 euros ! Be careful with these scammers .
We hired a car from Europcar, on day 2 it developed a engine management fault, whilst on a road trip to Seville. We reported it, and were asked to return in to Algeciras, as we were mid holiday and had events booked we cldn't do this. We persevered and dropped it off in Seville. We followed up in writing and with photos of the fault. It took 5 months of constant emails asking for a partial refund. Constant excuses, and then silence. Eventually I was refunded 35 euros! Very poor customer service and communications. If the car had been damaged by myself EC wld have immediately charged me. Beware, they acted in a very unprofessional manner
Very bad service, scam and charged money from the card for nothing. Customer service is not available most of the time. Worst experience I've had. Also if you get a fine they take 40 euro as "Fine management fee" and additional money to help you process the payment, no other company do this
Worst car rental experience ever! One month after my rental, I got an email with false claims: that the car rolled down the slope (!!) and crashed while parked. There is no slope and automatic cars do not roll in Parking position. The damages report had a date before the rental end and the pictures they sent of a beaten up car were taken long after the rental had finished. This is a completely fraud initiated by employee with ID: OESP 4322 (don't know his name). I will never use Europcar again and I'd like to strongly suggest you to refrain from being their client: you simply don't deserve it.
