Great experience with Ivan, his English was excellent and he explained everything in detailed. The Spanish Cupra we rented did not disappoint it was sporty and handled well. We returned the car in Malaga which went smoothly and the staff there were also helpful. Some of the corners in Spain are pretty tight but having a luxury car full of sensors makes it easy.
Very bad experience!!! highly not recommended especially for tourists. I booked a car and paid online. When i went to pick up the car, they said 100 euros should be paid for full insurance, otherwise if the car is dented (less than 1 cm in diameter) i have to pay 1500 euros. When i returned the car, there was only one busy lady on the counter, she asked me that i could leave the car in the parking, I surprisingly said that there should be someone to at least check it. Nobody was available. I was in a hurry, so i left with no dent or scratch. After a month, they sent me an email about a traffic violation that i have to pay. I asked them to send me evidence, they never did. Instead, they sent me an invoice with strange abbreviations. I am not giving up my rights, i will follow it up to the end.
TERRIBLE SERVICE - RUINED OUR FAMILY VACATION! I'm writing this review as a very frustrated wife and mother of two young children after the horrible experience we had with Enterprise in Spain. We were traveling with our 2-year-old and 9-year-old, and what was supposed to be a stress-free vacation turned into an absolute nightmare, thanks to Enterprise. My husband had booked and prepaid for a rental car with Enterprise in Algeciras, which we were supposed to pick up after our ferry from Morocco. Due to an unexpected ferry delay (over three hours!), we arrived late, and by the time we got to the Enterprise office, they had CLOSED. We were stranded with two young children and four large bags of luggage. What were we supposed to do? Wait outside with our kids until they opened the next day? It was unbelievable. To make things worse, we had to pay EUR112 for a taxi to get from Algeciras to Marbella, and the next day, my husband had to spend hours trying to resolve the issue with Enterprise. He went to the Marbella branch to try to get a refund, but the woman there was so rude! She lied straight to his face, assuring him we'd get a full refund, and then talked badly about him in Spanish while he was standing right there! The lack of professionalism was shocking. She had no respect for us as customers. The worst part is that they charged us a EUR150 "no-show" fee, claiming we didn't pick up the car. This is completely untrue--we were there, but we couldn't pick up the car because the ferry was late and the office was closed! How is that our fault? My husband has been constantly calling, emailing, and trying to get in touch with Enterprise to resolve this, but they've given us nothing but excuses. He couldn't even enjoy the vacation with our family because he was busy trying to deal with Enterprise's mess. On top of losing EUR277 for the rental car, we had to rent another car from Europcar for EUR377--money we shouldn't have had to spend if Enterprise had just been reasonable. They've ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation with their terrible customer service and lack of accountability. I don't understand how they can treat paying customers this way, especially when we did everything right! As a mother of two young children, this experience has been beyond frustrating. Our vacation was ruined, and we were left dealing with extra expenses that could have been avoided if Enterprise had been even remotely considerate. I would never recommend Enterprise to anyone, and we will never be using them again. This was the worst service I've ever encountered.
WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER - DO NOT TRUST ENTERPRISE IN SPAIN! Enterprise in Spain is hands down the most unprofessional, rude, and dishonest rental company I've ever dealt with. As an executive member, I expected much better treatment, but what I got was disgraceful service, outright lies, and zero accountability. I booked a prepaid rental car from the Algeciras branch, expecting to pick it up after my ferry arrived from Morocco. Unfortunately, the ferry was delayed by over three hours--something completely beyond my control--and by the time we arrived in Algeciras, their office was CLOSED. I had my wife, two young kids, and four bags of luggage with me. We were stranded. What did Enterprise expect me to do? Sleep outside their office until it opened the next day? I had no choice but to pay EUR112 for a taxi to get us to Marbella. The next day, I went to the Marbella branch to explain the situation face to face and get a refund for the car I never received. The woman there was incredibly rude from the moment I walked in. Not only was she dismissive, but she also started talking badly about me to her coworker in Spanish while I was standing right there! She had no respect and no professionalism. To make matters worse, she outright lied, assuring me I'd get a full refund just to get me out of the branch, knowing full well that wouldn't happen. Then, Enterprise hit me with a EUR150 "no-show" fee, claiming I didn't show up for my car. This is completely false--I was there! I arrived late because of the ferry delay, which was beyond my control. How is this my fault? Am I supposed to swim across the sea just to get there before they close? Enterprise doesn't care about their customers at all, and they refuse to consider reasonable circumstances. To add insult to injury, they tried to shift the blame onto the ferry company, FRS, and washed their hands of the entire situation. I'm handling things with FRS separately, but as a loyal Enterprise customer, I expected them to do something to help me, not leave me high and dry. I paid in advance, showed up as soon as I could, and was penalized for circumstances I had no control over. And on top of that, they had the nerve to close at 6:00 PM at a major seaport location. That's just ridiculous! Let's be real: the Algeciras branch has the rudest, most unprofessional manager I've ever encountered. And the regional manager? Just as useless. They make empty promises to call you back and never follow through. And the lady at the Marbella branch? Absolutely disgraceful, talking behind my back right in front of me as if I wouldn't understand. This is the kind of treatment you can expect from Enterprise in Spain--rude staff, lies, and absolutely no care for customer service. After this horrible experience, I went to Europcar and the difference was like night and day. Europcar actually values their customers, treats them with respect, and provides top-notch service--a trillion times better than Enterprise. I will be leaving reviews everywhere I can until Enterprise has the rating it deserves--LESS THAN 1 STAR. They currently sit at 3 stars, which is still far too generous for the terrible service they provide. I'm being punished for doing everything right, for showing up (even if delayed due to the ferry), and for paying in advance for a car I never got. Meanwhile, they don't even care to help. I will NEVER recommend Enterprise to anyone--family, friends, or strangers. They are a disgrace to the rental car industry. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from Enterprise in Spain. This has been the worst experience ever, and they deserve to be called out for it.
Best Experience so far for car renting in euro is was easy and quick also the team was very helpful I will do it again with you
Simar problem to the client of the precedent review. Enterprise wants to charge me 700 euros regarding some alleged damages despite having returned the deposit to us without problems. And the best of all, nobody answers the phone. I have been using these services for years and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. 0 points for the service.
I start from 0 because it took almost 4 months to solve my issue, and i add 1 star because it was solved and the new manager tried his best to solve it. I booked mid-april, received the checkout email and refund of caution. Super friendly team at that moment, no problem. Beginning of June i see a debit on my bank account pr 751EUR!! 3 weeks of calls and emails to understand that they charged a supposedly damage; 5 weeks to get the right contacts. I even had to go back to Spain to try and solve it because no one was answering (emails, phone calls, almost everyday). Advice : be sure to get the checkout report and/or keep a full video of the car 2-3 months after... you never know
I feel the need to write a review for this place, because i was checking reviews before we decided to rent a car, and they were so bar we almost cancelled our plans to rent a car. Other big companies had similar or worse ratings. Many people say they took money from them afterwards, discovered stretches that were there from before etc. I was actually scared to and rent a car. We did finally and everything went great. The guy there was super helpful, told us some great places for Malaga as well, upgraded our car, made sure to look at the car thoroughly before and was very friendly overall. He did suggest we pay 20 extra euros so we are not liable in any way and that made sense so we did that. If you are renting for more days maybe it's not practical as it adds up. In any case, everything went great after all, the people in Malaga checked the car and gave us back the deposit right away, we were late and they said it's fine and overall their service was impeccable. I rarely sit and write lengthy reviews, but i was so bummed out the night before renting the car, I felt like i was gonna take this big risk with a scammy company, but it worked well after all. Not saying other people's expereinces are not true, but just trying to balance it out a bit.
