They charge you for damage you haven't done even though you deliver the car in perfect condition. Send you a picture of damage to the car where you are not able to see the registration plate, so might as well be a different car. Will never use this company again.
The Russian chick trying to upsell, fear factor the additional insurance was uncalled for. Took 6 times to tell her I would flat out buy the vehicle if I destroyed it before I paid any additional money for insurance that my credit card company already backed me up on. Totally uncalled for. What kind of syndicate these clowns are tied in with is a joke. Rent somewhere else. Bunch of crooks

Misled at the airport by customer service about fuel return policy. Was told it would be cheaper to let them fill up on return. Cost me 110 euros for 1/2 a tank. Shocking customer service
We verified our account in advance so, on arrival, we could get our keys from the self service key box. This avoided queueing. We got a free upgrade to a group C car (we had reserved group B). On our return, an agent checked the car over, and the fuel guage, and confirmed that everything was fine with the car and there would be no further charges. The return process only took a few minutes.
Recently rented from Avis from Alicante. The app was great, the staff were really helpful and no upselling of confusing insurance! Very straightforward process and reasonably priced and nice clean cars. Would recommend
Rent for 3 days a new Opel corsa with only 70 km on odometer. Quick pickup of the car with all documents prepared in advance by prior call from the office in Alicante, dropping off the car at night without any personal - is a great option. The only advice is to take lots of pictures before taking the car (even new) to avoid correspondence and explanations if you drop the car without having it checked by an avis employee. But in the end, at all stages of this rental, the staff was very friendly and willing to resolve any problems or questions we may have had.
I can only tell one thing : DO NOT/NEVER RENT with Avis Alicante... 2 months ago we had an accident with our rental car from AVIS and we were not even driving the car, it was parked in front of our holiday house. We had a police report and all costs and expenses would/should be covered by the insurance of the other party or by the AVIS insurance. Instead, AVIS charged us for the towing expenses, they charged us for the taxi back to the airport for a replacement car and they penaltized us because we didn't refuel our broken car... Duuh. Our replacement car was of less quality, the car did not have wipers and we were brought into a dangerous situation when we wanted to clean the front window, only at that time we've found out that there were no wipers... We immediately reported it, but they told us it was our mistake as they were probably stolen... Wipers of a Skoda Fabia stolen within 20 hrs after car pick-up in our calm holiday place??? No, they were forgotten when they were removed the old ones, that's more likely. Customer service is non-existing, after more than 2 months of complaining with emails, reminders, phone calls, ... they just don't reply on our complaint. When you want to book a car (we did the test) they reply immediately, talking to customer service = impossible. Of course all charges are billed immediately through the credit card, getting a refund will never happen! Our 224 EUR rental fee became a rental of over 500 EUR!! UPDATE: NO SOLUTION PROVIDED BY AVIS - THEY REFUSE ANY COMMERCIAL GESTURE...
