Twice we have used them and never again. The customer service was the most shocking I have ever experienced. They act cheeky, snobby, sniggering between each other, speak to you rudely. I will never spend my money here again. You have lost a life long customer which is sad because the uk branches have been good. Reading your reviews others have had the same experience. That's no surprise. No repeat customers so you will loose millions. Hire new staff and start with the basics of good customer service again or you will keep losing money.

DISHONEST SCAM ARTISTS. I got a great discount on a rental car through one of the most common discount brokers that show up in search results. When I arrived, Europcar refused to provide me with the car unless I bought their insurance, even though they had confirmed the booking as placed via the broker, and even though my credit card includes rental car insurance or presented then with an "Infinity" Visa card, which is something I've never heard of. I see in the reviews that others have reported this agency for running the same scam. If you can arrange a car in advance from a different company, save yourself a lot of potential trouble and do so!

Literally the worst customer service I have experienced. Two members of staff are some of the rudest people I have come across. Tried to flog me an upgrade which I declined and then was given the most battered and scraped car I have even seen as a hire car, which even had an oil leak. Would rather not end up broken down by the side of the road with my 5 year old daughter. Staff (assume it must the be same woman other people refer to in the reviews) said it was a take it or leave it situation and said I should go and hire with another company. (Or I could pay them 140 euros to upgrade) Funny how at 10am they are sold out of all cars in the same class! Wonder what they will do for the rest of the day. I tried to take the staff details to include in my complaint but they started shouting and said they would call the police. Shocking for a global brand. Now still sitting in the airport 3 hours after my flight landed waiting for a car from another company. Avoid at all costs.

I recently went to Fuerteventura where I paid to hire a seat Arteca or similar but on arrival they had given me a VW T-Roc which I had the option to hire for a cheeper price then I paid to try and get something bigger like the seat Ateca. I also paid PS43 when hiring a car booster seat but when arrived I then had to pay a further PS73 for the booster seat so overall I paid PS116 to hire a car seat for a week but I paid PS132 to hire a car for the week that doesn't make sense I originally thought it was just a deposit incase I didn't bring it back but no turns out it was an extra charge.

Horrible service of airport staff We went to the airport to pick up our car and encountered a misunderstanding regarding the pickup time. The lady at the counter was quite unfriendly and unwilling to assist us. Then we contacted customer service for help. While on the phone, we were advised to return to the counter as they had the final authority. The lady at the counter didn't help at all, just said no and turned her back. After we commented on her attitude, she cancelled our reservation without any notice or confirmation from us, leaving customer service confused and causing significant inconvenience for us. Additionally, it was not possible to file a complaint over the phone, and we were directed to address our concerns at the counter. However, two Europcar employeesnwere also unfriendly and insulted us. I am still awaiting my refund from Europcar. Based on this experience, I would not use this company.

To avoid, the lady tried to sell us an upgrade of the car by saying with the car chosen, the insurance did not cover in the event of a puncture, she tried to sell us a second insurance even though I had already taken out one. one on booking which covered all damages. The car had so many scratches and dents that I asked my wife to take pictures of the misery before using it because the document that listed the scratches and dents that the lady gave us was only in Spanish, so difficult to understand. I preferred to have photos. When we returned the car, the lady asked me if we had any problems or scratches or bumps and I told her no, everything went very well and that was the case too. She gave me back a receipt paper where everything was marked ok but she didnt even go and check. When I got home, I received an email saying that I had made bumps with a photo of the claws. Fortunately, my wife had also taken a photo of the same place and we see exactly the same dent except it was already there when receiving the vehicle. I sent them back the photo my wife had taken saying they were wrong. Well see what they say.

Elle ma rendu un papier de reception ou tout etait marque ok mais elle nest meme pas aller verifier. Arrive a la maison, je recois un e-mail soit disant que javais fait des bosses avec une photo des griffes. Fort heureusement, ma femme avait fait aussi une photo du meme endroit et on voit exactement la meme bosse sauf elle y etait deja a la reception du vehicule. Jai leur renvoye la photo que ma femme avait prise et en disant quils faisaient erreur. On verra ce quil vont repondre.

Awful. Horrible service. The cars are terrible. The final surprise was when they charged us 70 euros for not filling the cars fuel tank, when the fuel handle was broken and they told us this when we got the car from the guy from European who told us that all the Citroen cars that They arrived and it was broken and some were able to fix it and others couldnt, but nothing happened. Even so, we filled the tank on the way back until the gas hose marked the end. The license plate of car 3827 LXS is Citroen model CT.C3.UL. Please do not contract with this company.

One can only warn! Booked via Check24 - including all fully comprehensive insurance with glass / tires etc - an attempt will be made on site to sell all insurance again. Since I booked here specifically based on the fact that Europcar sees itself as a premium provider, the first disappointment. But this could still be topped - because you have to book an off-road flat rate for 16 per day . europcar considers any unpaved road to be off-road, including, for example, a parking lot with gravel. If Europcar determines via GPS that this was driven without the flat rate, a fine of 300 will be due. When I picked up the moderately cleaned vehicle, I took a cell phone video, which saved me from a lot of trouble when I returned it. Since the previous damage is only half-heartedly listed on the rental agreement, the tenant cannot understand whether any scratches have already been recorded. Here, new damage was discovered when the item was returned, which fortunately - thanks to the video - was clearly present when it was picked up. Europcar actually welcomed me as a customer for the last time - others can do that much better. Friends we were traveling with at the same time booked with a Spanish rental company - paid less, had a much better car and there was no double insurance coverage either...

Man kann nur warnen! Gebucht uber Check24 - inkl. aller Vollkasko Versicherung mit Glas / Reifen etc - wird vor Ort versucht, nochmals alle Versicherungen zu verkaufen. Da ich ausgehend davon, dass sich Europcar als Premiumanbieter versteht, extra hier gebucht habe, die erste Enttauschung. Aber dies lies sich noch toppen - denn man muss eine offroadpauschale fur 16 pro Tag hinzubuchen. Als offroad versteht europcar jede nicht befestigte Strasse, auch bspw. einen Parkplatz mit Schotter. Stellt Europcar uber GPS fest, dass diese ohne die Pauschale befahren wurde, werden 300 Strafgebuhr fallig. Bei der Abholung des massig gereinigten Fahrzeugs habe ich dann ein Handyvideo gemacht, dies hat mich bei der Ruckgabe vor viel Arger bewahrt. Da die Vorschaden auf dem Mietvertrag nur halbherzig aufgefuhrt sind, lasst sich als Mieter nicht nachvollziehen, ob etwaige Schramme bereits erfasst war. Hier wurde bei der Ruckgabe ein neuer Schaden entdeckt, welcher zum Gluck - dank Video - nachvollziehbar schon bei der Abholung vorhanden war. Europcar hat mich tatsachlich zum letzten Mal als Kunden begrusst - das konnen andere deutlich besser. Freunde mit denen wir zeitgleich gereist sind, haben bei einem spanischen Vermieter gebucht - weniger bezahlt, hatten ein deutlich besseres Auto und den doppelten Versicherungsschutz gab es ebenfalls nicht

This nice lady who supposedly doesnt speak French and who understood our annoyance, starting by telling us one over 67 euros because her closing time of 10 p.m. had passed: either pay you or no car... . Taking charge of the car, a shame, a vehicle with 55,000 km which seemed to have 250,000 dirty ones, and in deplorable condition compared to other vehicles rented from Europcar. We chose a renowned brand but it never ended; ah and dont forget your CREDIT card otherwise you will pay even more.

Nous avons choisi une enseigne de renom mais cest termine plus jamais; ah et noublie pas votre carte de CREDIT sinon vous allez paye encore en plus.

Totally bad. We accidentally entered the wrong time, the preset time, but we were still late and had to wait for our suitcases, so we werent there at the specified time. However, we specifically entered the flight number. We were then told that the car was not available and that we could take another vehicle for an additional charge of 50 euros per day. A British family where the flight was delayed and 2 Spanish women had a similar situation. The police were even called because of the last two. Ive never experienced anything like that. We dont even know if well get our money back!

Wir haben versehentlich falsche Zeit , voreingestellte Zeit eingegeben, hatten allerdings noch Verspatung und mussten auf die Koffer warten, so dass wir nicht zur angegebenen Zeit vor Ort waren. Allerdings haben wir extra die Flugnummet eingegeben. Uns wurde dann mitgeteilt, dass der Wagen nicht verfugbar ware und wir gegen Aufpreis von 50 Euro am Tag ein anderes Fahrzeug nehmen konnten. Ahnlich ging es es einer britischen Familie, wo sich der Flug verspatet hat und 2 Spanierninnen. Wegen der letzten Beiden wurde sogar die Polizei gerufen. Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Wir wissen nicht einmal, ob wir unser Geld zuruck bekommen!
